Chapter 10

"Why did you bury your face like that? How was the date? Did you do well? Mirae, answer me!" Jin demanded next to my ear, in a high pitched volume that almost made me deaf. Normally, I'd smack him already but just for tonight, I should say thank you and treat him kindly for all the things he had done.

Lifting my head from the cushion, I shook my head as I seated myself on the couch, staring down to my lap.

"Huh? What's that supposed to mean? Don't just shook your head! How am I supposed to know?" Jin scoffed and rolled his eyes.

I hugged the cushion and buried half of my face on it. "Jimin said I was cute in this dress. He complimented about me a lot and said hanging out with me was really fun. He even asked me if we could hang out more often from now on." The tingling sensation meant my cheeks must be splattered with red hues by now. "All thanks to your tips and eyes, thank you so much, Jin."

He smiled. "That Jimin guy must have good eyes. Anyways, chin up, girl. You just got yourself a good man. Although you're not dating him yet." He winked at me. Instead of being irked like I usually do, all the things Jin did these days made me really warm. He somehow brings good vibes nowadays instead of smack worthy Kim Seokjin.

"Thanks, Jin. But seriously, how do you have that high self-esteem? I find it annoying sometimes, but at some point, I think it is really cool to be proud of yourself."

He gave me incredulous look, eyebrows furrowed, looking confused. "I don't? I actually praise myself to hide my insecurities. Ugh, I hate to say this but that's the truth," he confessed which had opened my mouth ajar.

"So all the self praises and stuffs...?"

"Yeah. At first, I say those things to help me to love myself. Besides, sometimes it gets too annoying when someone does not appreciate themself." He shrugged his shoulders nonchalantly.

I was honestly, speechless. Who would have ever thought the infamous narcissistic Kim Seokjin had that kind of thoughts? Maybe Jin was actually a different person inside.
