I was left in shock because I wasn't expecting to see anyone behind me; let alone Bernard's mom.
"Good Morning ma'am!" I greeted, with my head buried to the ground.
I was then surprised to see her respond to my greeting with a smile on her face.
"I guess you are looking for Bernard, right?" She asked calmly, while still smiling.
"Yes ma'am, I was told by the driver that he won't be going to the college today, so I wanted to come to check on him; to know why he isn't going to the college today!" I explained my intention to her calmly.
"Okay, Bernard is not home right now... He was sent on an errand by his father, so I don't think he will be able to make it to college today!" With a very gentle and warm expression, she explained to me.
