The Forced Mate

Chapter 8: Enthronement

I was seated in the room, which I was locked up by the guards, and the feeling I was in at that moment; can only be described as endless pains.

Tears continuously strolled down my cheeks and I was so deeply in need of someone I could talk to, or getaway to let out my pains.

I was deeply into my thoughts and the pictures of how I and my parents used to play and do things were all over my head.

"How do I handle all of these things and make all that has hand in the death of my parent pay for their evil deeds?" I question myself, as I yelled out in frustration and anger.

It was then I figured out, that the only person I have now is myself because I don't even know if Cassandra is fine or not.

'I have to play along now, till I figure out what I will do to settle all that has happened around me... At least I still have my parent's properties and money to me, I know I'm the only child they have' I thought to myself, as I try to look for a way out of all the problems around me.

I was still lost in my thoughts when I suddenly heard the door opened and when I raised my head to see who was coming into the room, it was not much of a shock to see Bernard walk in.

His face was so hard and he had an arrogant look towards me, I guess he was ready for any defiant act from me.

But he was surprised to see me sitting very calm and wasn't saying a word.

Bernard was quiet for a while, as he kept on staring at me and after some minutes, he finally broke the silence.

"I know you are deeply hurt right now, but your previous attitude was unacceptable and it was a very big disrespectful act not only to the elders but to the entire Blue Moon pack" With an unpleasant tone and with a scone on his face towards me, Bernard let out those words.

I turned my face to him and when he thought I was going to say a word, I bowed my head back without uttering a single sentence.

From the look on his face, I could tell that he was confused about my attitude, but he continued acting like he's not moved by whatever I'm doing.

"The coronation of me being sworn in as the new Alpha will take place in two days, do prepare yourself well... For I will be showing you to the entire pack as my Luna and chosen mate" Bernard said authoritatively.

I looked at him and nodded my head in approval of what he said.

Bernard was still amazed at how I have been very calm and not causing trouble or saying a word.

After he finished talking to me, he walked out of the room with a bit of confused expression on his face.

*The Coronation day*

Everyone has gathered and is all in a celebrating mood waiting for their Alpha to be sworn in.

I walked inside by side with Bernard, as I was dressed in a plain white gown with a lot of beautiful designs and the stones on the gown could only show elegance and wealth.

The dress was brought to me by Bernard and when I put it on, it fits me and I had to put on a smiling face, even though it was burning inside of me.

We both walked into the coronation hall of the packhouse and to everyone's surprise, I and Bernard were holding each other's hands and I kept on smiling.

After we took our seats and the coronation was about to start, the announcer called upon Mr. Edwards to come to make some clarifications.

I was shocked the moment I set my eyes on Mr. Edwards.

'Is that not My Dad's lawyer, what's he doing here?' I was immediately lost in my thought, as I kept on asking myself questions without any reply.

I decided to relax and calm my nerves... At least, I will get to know what he's here to do when he gets to the podium.

"Good evening ladies and gentlemen of the great Blue Moon pack, I am here today by the laydown rules that when an Alpha dies, his will should be read before another Alpha is sworn in. So I am here to fulfill that rite, so we can all be clear on all sides" Mr. Edwards said with a very courageous look.

Immediately he made mention of will, I became more attentive and interested in what he was brought to do.

'This is good news for me, at least I will know all that my parents have left me and I can plan all my next moves' I thought to myself, as I kept my focus on The Speaking Mr. Edwards.

"We all know that the late Alpha is a wealthy man and all that he and his wife own are in one name and they never acquired any property individually... They have always bought all their properties in the family name" Mr. Edwards said.

"Now, this is the will of the late Alpha and Luna of the Blue Moon... They have willed all their properties and all establishment to Mr. Bernard, which is to be crowned the next Alpha today and since he will be marrying their daughter Maria!" With a stone face, Mr. Edwards read out the will.

Once Mr. Edwards made those announcements, I instantly felt like I was set ablaze... I couldn't process rightly all that he said.

I jumped out of my seat and yelled at Mr. Edwards angrily.

"You mischievous lying bastard, I know my parents can never make this kind of decision... How dare you tell a lie of this magnitude against them, don't you even have respect for the dead? Despite that, they trusted you with their lives!" I kept on pouring out my anger, as I continued to create a big scene right before all that were present in the hall.

Before I turned back, I saw Bernard walking towards the Podium that Mr. Edwards was still standing and I was not sure of what he was going there to do.

As soon as he got to the podium, he took the will that was just read by Mr. Edwards, and after he also read through it... He walked down to the direction of where all the elders were seated and gave them all to read through it.

After they all read through it, Bernard collected it back and he walked back to the podium.

"This is the written and signed by the Late Alpha and Luna of this great pack, which we must respect and obey all that is in it... I will not allow anyone to create a nuisance here and goes free without facing the right punishment, no matter who you are!" Bernard said, as he sounded very angry and his voice echoed all over the whole hall.

"Guards seize her and let her spend the night at the dungeon, for she needs to learn how to control herself and her emotions!" Bernard commanded with a look of wrath and anger all over his face.

"From now henceforth, Maria will start living at my family mansion; since it's going to be her home from now on" With authority, Bernard announced.

I was immediately taken away from the hall and to the dungeon, I was thrown.

The coronation was held without my presence and Bernard has crowned the new Alpha of the great Blue Moon pack...
