April's POV The cold wind blew, making me shiver, as I walked through the wild jungle. I was heading towards the cemetery located in between the jungle, right across my street. It was pitch dark outside making it difficult to see anything properly. Now, one would be thinking as to why and where I was going. Well, to make it short, my stupid friends had made a stupid bet. Stupid bet means horrible bet. According to bet, if Madrid won against Barcelona, the losing team would have to complete whatever task the wining team gave them.Since I was the only supporter of Barcelona and luck wasn't on my side, I had to carry out the task bestowed upon the losing team.  I was supposed to go to this tunnel, which was known to be abandoned, capture a picture of its inside and come back. Did i mention this tunnel was haunted? Convincing my friends hadn't work out that well. They shamelessly blackmailed me about exposing my one sided love to the school's hottie. And this kind of drama was the last thing on my agenda. I just wanted to get over with the last month of high school in peace, and they were aware of it. Bitches. This whole task was just plain stupid.  While i was in my train thoughts, i didn't notice a broken branch. It resulted with me tripping over it and landing on the ground, butt first. "Stupid branch. " I cursed. Suddenly my phone rang, scaring the s**t out of me. "So, did you reach the tunnel yet ?" My stupid friend, May chirped.. "Yea, and I'm having the time of my life partying with vampires here, wanna join?" I said, sarcasm dripping out my mouth. Dusting my now dirty clothes. "Ha ha ha, very funny." she said with a sour tone. I could feel her rolling her eyes at me. "Shut up and  lemme complete your stupid task. I'll be there in an hour," I said dryly, " If I live," I added. "Oh please, You're not gonna die today. I'll kill ya my self someday. " She laughed. Thinking again about why i was friends with her, i cut her call. I hummed a song along my way to tunnel, to calm my nerves.The Moon light wasn't bright enough to see through the dark, so I switched on the flashlight in my mobile. As I neared the tunnel, my hands started sweating. I've heard people tell weird stuff about this tunnel. It wasn't called the 'f*******n Tunnel' for nothing. It gave me creepy vibes.   When I reached the tunnel, It was like my voice had left me, my humming had died.  Okay April, you can do this. You just have to go in, snap a picture of  the inside of tunnel, go home and sleep. I shakily grabbed the handle of tunnel door to open it.   Please God, help me come out of this place safe and sound. But if in case i end up dying today, please tell me parents that I love them.  And punish my b****y friends. Don't forget those devils. I blew the blow of air from my mouth that i never knew i had been holding in and tried to open the door.  The door was really heavy, it wouldn't budge. I tried three times but i didnt open.  I tried for the last time, happily.  If this doesn't open I won't be able to go in and then i can go home and-  My thoughts were interrupted by a creaky noise and the door in front of me opened. My mouth hung open.  What the f**k?! How did the door open on its own? I didn't even push this time.  Oh god I knew it, Ghosts were real. And this place probably had a lot of them. After hyperventilating for a minutes, i regained my senses. You're a big girl April, just go in and be done with this task , the sensible part of me spoke. Which wasn't that sensible right now. Trembling with fear, I silently started to walk in. Passing through the narrow pathway, I came across some stairs.  After 5 minutes of ascending up the stairs, I stood in an open place. I slowly started to look around. There were a lot of spider webs, indicating how untouched the place had been. I could see a lot of  small plants growing from the ground and some across wall of the tunnel. The Moon could be clearly seen from above here.  The open place opened up to three more passage ways, leading somewhere i didn't know of. Maybe they're connected to three different tunnels. I started to walk towards my nearest passageway. It was guarded by a  door.  I tried to open it but it was locked in its place. I did the same with other two passageways, but their doors were sealed as well. What the hell is this place? Remembering my task, I quickly a took picture of the tunnel for my friends. I hurriedly put my phone in my coat and rushed towards the exit of the tunnel.  Just as i was about to exit, I felt someone grab my shoulders from behind me. Before i could even scream, my mouth was wrapped around by a firm hand. As on cue, I started kicking and moving violently, in an attempt to escape. "I'm gonna say this once, you're not going to scream once i release you," The deep voice was enough for me to know that it was a man. I nodded in reply. I turned around to came across and man looking me through his electric blue eyes.  A serial killer, most probably. Just as i was going to make a run for it, the man grabbed my forearm, holding me captive in front of him.  I couldn't control the shriek that left my mouth. "What did i say about screaming?" he grunted. "Stay away from me you, asshole!" I yelled, as soon as i was released.    I started to wiggle out of his hands but his grip was tight enough to hold me in place. " Look, I'm not gonna hurt you." he said in a soft voice. "Let go of me you bastard, or help me god, you will regret it! " I threatened, trying a little hard to get out of his grip.  " Yea? And what are you gonna do if I don't ?" he smirked, amused by the situation. " I'll- I'll hit you where the sun doesn't shine. " I said, annoyed by the whole situation. "Tsk, tsk, tsk," he moved his head disapprovingly,"I would like to see you try though." he challenged, winking at me.  I took the chance and lifted my knee abruptly, directing it right where it could end the guy. As usual luck wasn't at my side, and before i could even do any damage, my knee was caught by him and I was jerked forward to stand just a few centimeters away from his face. Damn, he was fast. The sensible part of my brain took the opportunity to stare at him, shamelessly may i add. His chiseled jaw line and defined cheek bones could easily be used to cut flesh. His plum lips had my mind going places.His eyes? I was already drowning in them. In short, he looked like a s*x God. "Let's stop this and come to business." he said, loosening his hold on me, putting distance between us and snapping me out of my thoughts,"My name is Edward. Whats yours?" he said. Ha, like i was gonna give a serial killer my identity. "April." the name rolled off my tongue, without permission. I mentally face palmed myself.  "April, huh? Beautiful name for a beautiful girl!" he said, smiling widely. His teeth were so white. Like those in ads. "Awesome," I said, while tugging my hand." Now will you please care to release my hand and explain me what the hell are you doing here?"  "Okay let's sit down. "He said. "No, I won't sit. What do you want?." I asked, still trying to free my arm from his firm grip. He chose to ignore my question. "What brought you here?" he said. "What about you? What are you doing here?" I said raising my eyebrow at him and crossing my arms. He let out a heavy sigh. "I was just passing by, then I wa- " I cut him off.  "What do you mean, Passing by? I didn't see you coming inside the tunnel."I said. "Were you stalking me?" Now giving him full attention. " You'll probably think I'm stupid, so before I tell you anything, don't run away from me okay? I won't hurt you." he said, looking at me with concern eyes. "Yea, yea, okay. " I said, rolling my eyes. "I'm a Vampire." he said, looking straight at me. I remained silent for a few seconds and then I couldn't control my laugh anymore. i laughed so hard, tears started forming in my eyes. "Oh god! You? A vampire? This is so ridiculous.! " I said in between laughs. "I'm serious! " he hissed. I raised my eyes challenging him.  On cue, He brought his face close to me, his eyes went a darker shade of blue. He opened his mouth and I saw two sharp fangs appear there.  My body went went rigid and I gulped. What the f**k? He wasn't joking. "Now do you believe me?. " he said, his eyes looking for a reaction. "I- I, how is it possible? I mean vampires don't exist." I said, confused. I was scared as s**t. There's an extinct creature sitting in front of me, talking to me. It doesn't happen everyday.  "I'll explain everything to you. But right now, I have to go. Its an emergency. I was just passing by when I smelled your rosy scent, so i was curious to see who this person was. And here I am," he said, "Tomorrow. Be here tomorrow,and don't think I cannot hunt you down. So it would be better that you come by yourself. " he added. I didn't know what to say. I wanted to say no. I mean, what if he killed me tomorrow? But a part of me was curious of his explanation.  There was silence around us. "I'll come, no need to hunt me down." I said, rolling my eyes. "Okay, cool." he said. He bend down to my height and kissed my cheeks. I felt a feathery touch on my cheeks causing me to close my eyes. I blushed. I opened my eyes to see no Edward. A smile formed on my face. I felt weird around him, like i wanted to be wrapped up in his arms. I am a weirdo. Shaking stupid thoughts out of my mind, i ran outside of this tunnel which was giving me chills right now. I reached my apartment after 30 mins. I opened the door and went to kitchen to drink water. "April, Is that you? " May's voice came from my room. I took my glass of water with me to my room. "Hey guys!" I pretended to be happy and cheerful.  "Hey yourself! Where were you?We thought something happened. " May said while gesturing to my other friends. "Oh really?If you thought I was in trouble, why didn't you came to get me?" I said while crossing my arms. "Umm, you had to complete the task by yourself, So we waited for you." my friend Tyler said while scratching his neck. "Whatever, take this and get out!" I threw my phone at them. Tyler caught it and the pic I captured of tunnel. "Wow, April you did it!" May claimed, jumping up and down in happiness. I really wanna kill this b***h right now. Then she won't be jumping. "Go home, I am tired, bye." I said while pushing them out of my room and house. "Hey, hey. Listen-" Dylan spoke but I cut him. "No get out." i slammed the door shut. I know it was a little harsh but today had really messed up with my head. I just needed some time alone. I probably made a mistake befriending them.  I thought of Edward.
