Lacy’s POV
As we start to head towards Chloe, Kyle, and Tyler, I am gently stopped by Erica.
“Hey, can I talk to you for a moment?” She says urgently to me in a hushed tone. Wolves have very good hearing, so while I get her intention of trying to set us up for a private conversation, it’s futile.
I glance over at Jake who has obviously heard the interaction and I see a concerned look on his face. I give him a small nod and a soft smile to let him know that I am okay with talking to Erica alone. He hesitates, but he leaves us behind and makes his way towards the others.
I turn to face Erica. “Sure, Erica. What’s up? Everything okay?”
“Ehh,” she pauses as she tries to find her words, making sure Jake is out of earshot.
