Chapter 47 – The Warhammer “Nice to see you made it, Harper,” Colonel Glover said. He was on the bridge with some of the Navy's officers and had ordered Jerry to report to him there. “You look like you got hit by a truck. More than once.” Jerry grimaced. “It's been a rough few days, sir.” Glover turned to one of the Navy officers, a tall, distinguished-looking man who seemed to be in his late thirties or early forties. He wore the rank of Commander on his uniform, but he was addressed as “Captain,” which told Jerry he was the ship's commanding officer. Glover gestured to Jerry with a wry look. “Captain Bailey, this rough-looking creature is Sergeant Jerry Harper, Homestead Volunteer Rifles.” “Pleasure to be aboard, sir,” Jerry said, saluting. “I've heard a lot about you, Harper,” Bail
