Chapter 33 – Encounters An hour later, Irylia rejoined the others in the sewer again. “Got some rope and a grappling hook.” “Good,” Jerry said. “Let's keep moving.” Irylia started down the tunnel, and the others fell in line. They walked in silence for several minutes. “There's that smell again,” Shariel said. “Another dead cat, I guess, or whatever the people here keep for pets.” “Yeah,” Jerry said, wrinkling his nose. “It's really rank. I imagine when the wet season comes, though, the runoff will wash everything out to sea.” Irylia didn't comment. She quickened her pace. A few minutes later, they entered a large chamber.
