Chapter 34 – Resurrection
Jerry's eyelids shot open, and he coughed. He sucked in air as deeply as he could, but he continued to hack and wheeze for several minutes. When he could breathe normally again, he looked around. There was very little light, and he had to squint to make anything out. A face materialized, inches in front of him. A face with fangs, yellow eyes, and orange hair. The Felids had broken through. They were inside the Artifact room!
He tried to scramble away from her. He reached for his sword, but his scabbard was empty. He balled his hand into a fist and threw a punch. The enemy's eyes widened, but she dodged the blow. Jerry lashed out with a boot, but she caught his foot in her hands. He screamed and cursed.
