Chapter 35 – Wayfinding
It wasn't long before they reached another junction. Four tunnels, not including the one they just left, split off from the chamber.
“Now what?” Shariel said, planting her fists on her hips. “I'd like to decide which way to go without having to wait for another Teuthid to show up. Anyone have any ideas?”
“I suggest we split up,” Kajora said. “Each of us takes a different tunnel, and then we meet back here after a certain amount of time and discuss what we found.”
Shariel and Irylia stared at her as if she was a Teuthid herself.
“Are you out of your mind?” Shariel asked. “What if there are more of those things swimming around?”
“Yeah,” Irylia said. “We barely killed the other one together. We wouldn't make it by ourselves. That idea's crazy, love.”
