I frown as Pheonix's SUV disappears further down the road suddenly feeling so much more empty than I did when I left the pack. It was different now. Aura was still in the pack and Phoenix is literally possibly walking into his death. I tried to calm my nerves but even my wolf was feeling unsettled.
"Natalia, you have little faith. Alpha Valentine will be alright." Spence places an arm on my shoulder in a comforting way but it does nothing to comfort me, instead it just reinforces the fact that this was actually happening. That Aura was betraying us and that she wants the downfall of my mate. Vernon is targeting me and every other Luna in this continent and Aura is targeting Phoenix.
