NATALIA'S POV
I wake sore and aching on every part of my body. I felt so heavy that even sitting up from the bed took a lot of effort on my part. I glance at the blaring clock beside me and groan out loud when I realize it is still five in the morning. Spence specifically told me I'd be practicing another element today so that either means I get to practice with a different member of the council or some other elemental I still have not met.
I turn the alarm off and glance at my phone. I grab it off the side desk and check only to reveal Phoenix had been calling me while I was pondering about what I would do today. I immediately call him back and get an answer on the first ring.
"Love." I smile automatically and suddenly feel energized. As cheesy as it sounds my mate's voice is enough
