Chapter 21
Jabari had washed up not far from Abbaseet, and after they regained their senses and checked that their limbs were intact, the two of them set off to find the others. Jabari was dazed, but had enough wits to be thankful for Abbas by his side. The Karee warrior prince was the exact person he would have chosen as a companion in a disaster. Jabari also had a raging worry for Isika, though, hampered by her lack of magic the way she was. He reached out for her with his mind, but heard nothing in response. Where was Ben? The last time Jabari saw him, he’d been pulled away by sea creatures. Had everyone survived? And, now that he thought of it, what had happened?
