Maya could barely breathe after Daniel's revelation. "The person responsible for your father's death?" she whispered. Ethan's expression turned cold. He slowly looked at Daniel. "You've kept this from me all these years?" Daniel sighed. "I was trying to protect you. Your father discovered something powerful before he died. The stolen file contains the evidence." Before Ethan could respond, his phone rang. His head of security answered first, then his face turned pale. "Sir... someone has broken into your penthouse." Ethan, Maya, and Daniel rushed there immediately. The apartment was in chaos. Drawers had been emptied, paintings ripped from the walls, and Ethan's office had been searched. But the intruder had left one thing behind. A black envelope. Inside was an old photograph. It showed Ethan's father standing beside a smiling businessman. Daniel's face drained of colour. "No..." he whispered. "You know him?" Maya asked. Daniel nodded slowly. "His name is Victor Kane. He was your father's closest friend... until he betrayed him." Ethan's fists clenched. "So he's alive." Before anyone could say another word, another piece of paper slipped from the envelope. It contained only one sentence: The truth dies with the last Blackwood. At that exact moment, every light in the penthouse went out. Darkness filled the room. A gunshot echoed through the silence. Maya screamed.
