“So she is your mate?” Derek calmly asks me through mind link.
“Yes” I growl back.
“What have you done?” Amelia screams and I finally look at her.
“What had to be done, that bastard was going to hit you … and from what I heard, it wasn’t the first time” I calmly reply.
“I was handling it without you killing my fiancé” she screams at me.
“He is not dead… yet” I reply looking back out of the window seeing the commotion I’ve caused.
“You stupid asshole, you are going to go to jail, do you know that?” she says almost concerned.
“Not if I prove I was defending my mate, I won’t” I say looking back at her.
“And how will you prove that? Everyone thinks Richard is my mate, that’s what he’s been telling people since he turned eighteen” she says, sounding defeated.
