CHAPTER TWENTY-EIGHT Three weeks had passed and George had buried his beloved mother. Although she was in her eighties, it was a fairly large gathering because of all the family she had left behind her. It was a strange setting but Sara got to meet George’s aunts, uncles and his cousins. She also met his brother, his brother’s wife and their young son who had flown in from Vancouver. The young son was responsible for all the artwork in Gladys’s room. He was six years old and his name was Ethan. George’s brother, Nick, was a comic book artist and very cool. Their whole family unit was cool. Sara warmed to them as they did to her. Ethan in particular bonded with her very quickly, which made her happy on such a sombre day.
