Zane's eyes widened in surprise when I told him I was pregnant
"Pregnant? For Zephyr?" he asked, clearly taken aback.
"Yes," I replied softly, feeling a mix of emotions swirling inside me.
"Does Zephyr know about the child?" Zane inquired with concern.
I shook my head. "No, and I don't want him to know. He doesn't deserve to be a part of our child's life."
Zane looked at me with a soft expression. "Okay, Zoe. I promise to take care of you and your child. Whatever decision you make, I'll stand by you all the way."
I was surprised by his calm and supportive reaction, even though the baby wasn't his own. It made me feel loved.
Meanwhile, Twinkle, my inner wolf, couldn't resist teasing me.
"I told you this wolf is too good to be true," she said playfully.
I felt a mix of emotions as I looked at Zane. Despite everything, I had hope knowing that he was there for me and our child. It was a turning point for us, and I knew we were in it together, no matter what lay ahead.
As the days passed, Zane and I grew closer, and my stomach grew bigger with each passing week. I felt Zane's support, and it gave me strength as I prepared for the arrival of my child. However, something unusual was happening to me.
One day during training, I felt a surge of energy coursing through me. As I waved my hands, a log of wood that was close to me moved as if it had a mind of its own. I reacted in shock, not understanding what had just happened.
Zane rushed to my side. "What was that, Zoe?" he asked, concern etched on his face.
"I don't know," I replied, bewildered by the strange occurrence.
"Try it again," Zane urged, curiosity mingling with worry in his voice.
I tried, but nothing happened. It was as if the strange display of power had been a fleeting anomaly. However, another day, while in my room, I reached out to grab my comb from the stand, and to my surprise, it was pulled toward me as if by an invisible force, magnetizing it to my hand.
Zane's eyes widened in astonishment. "Zoe, did you see that?" he exclaimed.
I nodded, feeling a mixture of confusion and awe. "I don't understand how I'm doing these things," I admitted.
Unable to comprehend the strange occurrences, Zane and I decided to seek the guidance of our pack's Shaman. We needed answers, and the Shaman was our best hope. After explaining the inexplicable events to the Shaman, he listened intently before revealing something astonishing.
"Zoe, you possess supernatural powers," the Shaman announced, his voice solemn.
"You come from a special breed of werewolves with extraordinary abilities."
I was stunned by the revelation. "What kind of powers do I have?" I asked, my mind reeling with disbelief.
The Shaman explained that I had the ability to manipulate energy and objects through telekinesis, a rare and potent gift. He assured me that it was a part of who I was and that I needed to learn how to harness and control these powers.
Over the following days, the Shaman became my mentor, guiding me through the process of understanding and mastering my abilities. We spent countless hours practicing, focusing on channeling my energy and honing my control over the telekinetic forces that lay within me.
"Concentrate, Zoe. Feel the energy flowing through you," the Shaman instructed as we worked together in the serene surroundings of the forest.
I closed my eyes, letting the energy within me surge and ebb, trying to connect with it on a deeper level. Slowly, I extended my hand, and a small stone levitated from the ground, hovering in the air before gently returning to its place.
"I did it!" I exclaimed, a rush of exhilaration coursing through me.
"Good, but remember, with great power comes great responsibility," the Shaman cautioned, his voice carrying the weight of wisdom.
As I continued to train, I discovered new facets of my abilities. I could sense the emotions of those around me, and I could project my thoughts to communicate with others telepathically. It was a profound and humbling experience, and I felt a profound sense of purpose as I delved deeper into the realm of my extraordinary heritage.
With the Shaman's patient guidance, I learned to control and direct my powers, using them for the betterment of our pack and to protect those I cared about. Zane stood by my side through it all, offering his support and encouragement as I went through this new aspect of my identity.
As my due date approached, the bond between Zane and I grew stronger.
One afternoon as I was having lunch with Zane, I felt massive pains in my tummy, I screamed out in pain
"Zoe, what is wrong?" Zane asked coming close to hold me
"Zane…, I think… it's time" I said in between breaths
Zane hurriedly took the keys to his truck and helped me get into the car then he zoomed off to the Pack's hospital.
While in the hospital, I looked at can with gratitude in my eyes
"Thank you for being here Zane," I said
"I wouldn't be anywhere else," Zane replied, squeezing my hand. "You're doing great, Zoe. I'm right here with you."
As the contractions grew stronger, I gripped Zane's hand tightly. "The babies are coming, Zane. I can feel it."
"They're beautiful, Zane," I said, tears of joy streaming down my face. "I feel so much love and gratitude right now."
The next few days we spent it caring for Louis and Liam. I wanted to make sure they were both comfortable and safe. Zane was a tremendous help, and together we managed to keep everything running smoothly.
One evening, as Zane and I sat in the living room, chatting about the boys, two guards burst in, looking urgent.
"Alpha," one of them panted, "an Alpha is waiting outside the Pack entrance to see you."
Zane's brow furrowed with concern. "I'll go and see what this is about," he said, starting to rise from his seat.
"Wait," I said, standing up as well. "I'm coming with you."
"Zoe you should stay back and look after the twins" Zane said
"They're asleep, let me come with you" I said with pleading eyes
"Okay then" Zane agreed
We made our way to the gate, and as it swung open, my heart skipped a beat. Standing there was the last person I expected to see. Zephyr
