After hearing the gunshot, Elias quickly sprang into action, wheeling me rapidly towards a safe location. My heart racing, I looked around frantically for Ariel, but she was nowhere to be seen. And then, I remembered - she had told me earlier that she was heading to the swimming pool. A wave of fear washed over me as I realized she might be in danger.
"Ariel!" I shouted out of shock, my voice echoing through the air. Elias stopped wheeling me and turned to look at me, concern etched on his face. "What's wrong?" he asked, but I just shook my head, my eyes scanning the area wildly. I couldn't believe what was happening. Just moments before, we were all together, laughing and chatting.
