Reuben’s POV The smirk on my face was involuntary as I leaned back in the chair, letting my gaze flicker between Emily and Ethan. The tension between them was almost palpable, her fiery defiance clashing against his thinly veiled anger. Emily’s voice, sharp and unyielding, broke through my musings. “Stop beating around the bush, Reuben.
