What?! Jerry called the police? How dare a killer call the police? Lola was shocked. Now that she had just been acting in self-defense, she was not worried that much. "Sir, there must be some understanding." She pointed at herself and said innocently, "I'm so thin. How could I hit someone else?"
The policemen became hesitant and looked blankly at each other. Lola didn't look like she would have hit someone. She was so thin that everyone would think she was the victim if there was a fight.
"Miss Bowen, why don't you go to the hospital with us to meet the man who called the police and see if there's any misunderstanding?"
Needless to say, Lola would not reject them, or they would be suspicious of her. "Okay, I just got off work. I'll go with you."
