After watching Fiona leave with her luggage, her parents and younger brother had been sitting on the sofa gloomily until they heard a flurry of knocks on the door. Thinking that her daughter came back, Aaron rose to his feet with a sullen face and was about to say something harsh again and give her some money secretly in the meanwhile.
