Chapter 3:

Amanda’s POV:
The funnel was yesterday on Saturday. I cried myself to sleep every day since Friday. I woke up to Bella crying, I looked at my clock to see it’s 5:30 am I rolled my eyes and got up. I walked to my bathroom quickly I done my business and the washed my hands. I ran to Bella’s room. I picked her up to see she’s boiling up. I started to freak out, so I took a few deep breaths in and out. Once I was calm I took her downstairs. I grabbed the baby thermometer and placed it under Bella’s armpits. I looked down at it to see it was very high I quickly carried her upstairs to the bathroom. I ran a nice warm bath. I undressed Bella and tried to put her in, but she started crying I then got undressed and got in with her she was okay one I was in there. After a few more minutes Bella was calmer, so I got out and dried her off as well as myself. I then walked to her room and put her in just a dipper. I then walked to my room and got changed while Bella was on my bed. Once I was finished I picked Bella up and carried her downstairs. I made some baby food for her as well as a bottle. I started to slowly feed her the food. Once she finished as much as she could I picked her up and cleaned her off. She started coughing so I rubbed her back in a soothing way. I feed her the bottle and rocked her to sleep. After she fell asleep I decided to make Corey’s breakfast before he woke up. I still had Bella in my arms since every time I tried to put her down somewhere she would start whining and I need her to rest so I just decided to hold her while I cooked. I made coco puffs for Corey once I heard movement from the stairs I seen Corey coming down just in time. I put his breakfast in front of him he started eating. I looked over at the clock to see it’s 6: 40 am. I started cleaning the house. I looked around the house it was way to big. See even before my parents died we had 4 spare rooms and now because there gone we have 7 since there bedroom that they share and the two offices for there work. I knew that it will get lonely in here so since the house will forever under my family name I won’t sell it or anything I’ll just leave it, but I want to get a new house with just 4 rooms and 2 bathrooms and 1 kitchen and a garage. I just can’t live in this house for a while maybe when I have my own kids and all then maybe I’ll come back and stuff. I will have someone look after it for me tho. Once I finished cleaning the lounge room Bella woke up. She was heating up again. I walked towards the medicine cupboard and grabbed out some medicine that my mother use to give Bella when she would heat up and stuff. I gave her the right amount and I started rocking her in my arms to calm her down. I look through the kitchen to see what food we have. I see the fridge is nearly empty and so it the cupboards. I place Bella in the bouncer. I grab the shopping list book and start writing everything we need down. After that I took Bella two the lounge room where the computer for us are. I sat down and looked up some houses. I found a really cool house that fits my idea. With 2 bathrooms 1 in the master bedroom the other one next to the toilet. There’s also 4 bedrooms. A pool and a kitchen. And a garage. I smiled at that. I called up the place and booked an Appointment so I can check it out. Once I finished checking all of them I shut the computer down, I picked Corey up and got him ready for the day. Once I knew everyone was ready I grabbed the shopping list and my wallet I placed them in the car I went back inside and grabbed Bella, my phone and the keys. I placed Bella in the car gentle I then picked Corey up and put him in his seat. Once I knew they were in I jumped into the drivers seat. I turned the car on and drove out of the gates. I drove to the shopping centre. Once I found a parking spot I parked the car I put the shopping list, keys, wallet and my phone in Bella’s baby bag. I then grabbed Bella out after putting Corey’s shoes on. I locked the car and carried Bella in while I held Corey’s hand. We went passed so many shops until we came across Woolworths. I cleaned the baby carrier that’s connected to the trolley I then placed one of Bella’s small blankets on before I placed her on. Corey stayed near the trolley the whole time I got the groceries. Once I got everything on the list and payed for it I walked back to the car. I placed all the groceries in the boot. I then grabbed Bella out and placed her in her seat. I did the same to Corey. Once they were in I pushed the trolley back to the trolley bay outside. I walked back to the car and drove home. Once I unpacked everything I ate an apple for lunch while I made sandwiches for Corey. I made some mashed potatoes for Bella. I walked over to Bella and felt her forehead to see she’s burning up again. “Corey honey lunch is ready” I said while picking Bella up. I dialled Mitches number in. He picked up on the first ring. “Hey what up Aman.” Mitch asked. “Hey, Mitch I really need your mums help Bella keeps heating up and stuff and since your mums a doctor would she be able to and look at her?” I asked through the phone. “Amanda we’ll be there soon stay calm cause knowing your Amanda your freaking out so stay calm and we’ll be there in like 5 minutes.” Mitch said ending the called I sighed in relief. After a few minutes Mitch came walking in. “Mitch you should have knocked this is not our house.” His mother Windy said. “No, it’s okay I told them they can do that if I told them to come over or something.” I said. Windy smiled at me and came up to and pulled me into a big hug I hugged her back. “So, where’s Bella?” Windy asked. I pointed towards the bouncer that I put in the lounge room so she could watch some wiggles. Windy walked over and picked Bella up while Mitch hugged me. “Amanda you know where here for you right know matter what.” Mitch said. I nodded and started crying. Mitch took me upstairs and into my room. “I miss them so much they where my rocks they were the last people on this planet that should have been taken away. Mitch it’s not fair.” I cried into Mitch’s chest.

Mitch’s POV:
I watched as Amanda cried. It hurt me to see my best friend like this. She’s like a little sister to me I hate it when she is upset. She looks so broken so sad. I hugged Amanda for a while until she pulled back. “Mitch I can’t do this anymore I’m not strong enough to do this it hurts so much.” Amanda said through tears. “Amanda-Lee James you are one of the strongest woman I know your going through so much right now. You have 2 human beings you have to take care of down there and yourself. Your going through your last year of school and on top of all that you have 2 wonderful siblings downstairs that need you and you need them that your looking after.” I said. “Thanks Mitch.” She replied. I nodded my head. After a few minutes we went back downstairs. My mum explained to Amanda that Bella just has the flu and it will last for a day or two. Amanda just nodded and picked Bella up into her arms. “Thank you Windy I really appreciate it.” Amanda said while trying to give my mum $50. “No. Amanda where basically family I will not be charging you ever.” My mother said while pulling Amanda in for a hug with Bella. After a while my mum said she best be off, so we said our goodbyes. “Wait didn’t you come with her?” Amanda asked. “No, I came in a separate car.” I said to which she nods at. We ended up talking for a while we decided I would stay tonight to help out.
