I woke up early the next day, my stomach was growling, I haven’t eaten in two days now. Last night rouge attack, had been a weird one, the Rouges had been weak, and the hole thing only lasted about thirty minutes. We spend an extra hour searching the area, for other intruders, but found none.

I got up, showered, got dressed, grabbed my phone, my computer and work bag, and went for breakfast in the dining hall, it was still early so the only people there, were the kitchen staff, and they were eating breakfast, before their shift started.

I excused myself, smiled and asked if I could join them for breakfast, they looked like they were going to have a heart attack, apparently they are not use to an Alpha at their table.

However they did give me a plate, and let me eat with them. I didn’t say anything and either did they. They had their morning routine going and I wasn’t going to interfere, when they were done, they slowly went back to the kitchen and started their work day. I stayed for about an hour just eating, guess not eating for two days and a rouge fight, will give you an appetite.

About an hour into my eating, people started showing up in the dining hall, I heard them whisper about last night rouge attack and looking towards me. I thought that it might be time for me to leave the dining hall, before it gets to crowded, and people starting asking questions, that I couldn’t yet answer.

On my way out I saw that Beta, that had oddly challenged me last night, for a woman’s hand, he came in with a pretty golden brown haired girl, they seamed very happy. I walked over, looked him straight in the eye, nodded my head towards the door, and said” let go outside and settle this!” I smirked and said “I guess, this is Lauren, the one we are fighting for, she’s cute”

The Beta completely lost all his cool, he was in total shock, the girl looked at him and started stuttering. The dining hall went numb. I couldn’t keep a straight face for long, so I gave him a smile, a pad on the shoulder, and said “ we are cool, I saw the connection, when you came in, I am not a total prick, and for the record, she is cute, but she is not my type. Enjoy breakfast” and I left the dining hall with a smile on my face.

I barely made it out side before my phone rang, it was my brothers secretary Paige. There had been a breach in their pack security system, and my brother didn’t know what to do. I walk over to the office building, found a park bench and sat down, I sat up my workstation, and starting working, with Paige still on the line.

My personal assistant Shane joint me an hour later. Sat up his station and went to work. He got my dad up to speed with the situation, and made sure we had enough food and drinks to last us for at least a couple of hours.

My Beta had joint us, after his morning fighting routine. he was in a good mood, and it helped with the working process. It is not easy getting control on thing, when your hours and miles away, and can’t be there physically.

Around dinner time, everything was caught up and safe. I didn't want to go to the dining hall for dinner, I knew my father and Alpha Brandon was waiting to get at serious talk with me, about what, I had no idea, but they had to wait, after a day like today, I need to blow of some steam.

I decided that we need to get away, so we went to get dinner at the nearest town. Whenever we would go out for dinner, Shane, Kyle and I. We always send in Shane first. Shane is openly and visibly gay, He would order food and drinks for three people, and when it is served, Kyle and I would join him, you never know, if there's any rouge working there, and what they might do to your food, then they sense Alpha and Beta presence.

Rouges are rogues for a reason, and the most common one, they didn't work well with their Alpha or Beta of their pack.

Our waitress however was a cute brown haired human girl, very flirtatious.

Halfway trough dinner, we saw Beta Luke and his mate Lauren enter the establishment. They saw us right away and ended up jointing us. I determined that Lauren didn't care for the flirtatious waitress, so I turned the charm down a bit.

I learned that Beta Luke and Lauren had just re-meet last week, they both grew up in the pack, but after turning eighteen, Luke had gone to training camp s***h collage for a few years, and when he came back, he had worked night shifts for another couple of years. Before he had taken over his fathers position as Beta to Alpha Brandon. They had wanted to keep their mating bond secret to their family and the pack, just to see if the feeling, was the pull of the mate bond or if it was true feeling. It had turn out to be true feeling combined with the bond.

"I challenged you, for Laurens hand, cause I didn't want to loose her to you", Kyle explained, "I heard the gasped for the other she-wolfs, when you entered the dining hall yesterday, and I know about your reputation. I wasn't going to loose my mate to a man w***e, excuse my language", Kyle said with a nervous smirk on his face.

I couldn't help laughing out loud, "man w***e, really?" I look to Shane and Kyle, they both softly nodded. and to matters worse, the waitress come over with the check, and her phone number written on the back inside a heart.

I payed the nice girl, and gave her one of my killer smiles, just to own up to my apparent reputation.

When back to the pack ground, I still had a lot of energy, so I decided to go for a run, it was almost midnight, the moon looked big and lightning up the surrounding forest. it was going to be a full moon soon, which means full moon ceremony. I like full moon ceremonies, they give me hope, that one day, I will find my mate and show her off in front of my entire pack, and she will become my packs Luna.

I strip down, and hid my clothes in the nearest tree, shift and started running. I ran to the clearing, where the rouges had entered yesterday, I could smell smoke. I shifted back and climbed the nearest tree to the top. Out in the distance I could see a bonfire. It looked like a campground, and yet I found it strange for anyone to camp so fare in the woods. I need to talk with Beta Luke tomorrow. I climbed back down, and at the foot of the tree, my nose, caught the most amazing smell of vanilla. Roman, my wolf went all crazy and howled in my head, “MATE” he shouted, I shifted back to my wolf form, and ran in the direction of the scent.

At a clearing in the wood, the moon light hit a big rock, and on top of that rock, the most beautiful pearl white wolf sat. I sneaked closer and shifted. I was so amazed by her, that I forgot about not wearing anything at all. She hadn’t heard or smelled me coming, due to the wind going in my direction. About a minute into me staring, she turned in shock.

Our eyes met, and my legs all most gave away under me, she had the most beautiful marble green eyes. Roman was howling and jumping around, not really helping with me, being blown away by her eyes. I almost stumbled, but found my ground without loosing eye contract.

She quickly looked away, and I could see her body tense. I was staring at her completely naked, I instantly shifted, and moved out of the wind, her scent was driving me crazy.

"don't come any close" she said, looking back at me.

I looked puzzled, "why not?, don't you know who I am?" I asked.

"your Alpha-son Aaron" she said

my name coming out of her mouth, sounded like the angles were singing. "please call me Aaron, do you know who am I to you?" I asked

"My fated companion" she looked down.

I sat down on my ass, in awe. "fated companion?" I mumbled, was she kidding me, "don't you believe in the bond of mates?" I asked

"I do, just not when it comes to me" she replied with sadden look. she started pacing back and forward on the rock.

I was very confused, I had waited a long time to find my mate, and here she was, saying that she didn't believing in it for herself, what about me.

"why not?" I asked

"I´m not mating material, and cant be a mate, the way your suppose to be!" she replied with a choking voice.

"why not? are you crippled?" "Are you dead and really an angle, who had came down on earth to mess with me" I joked.

She laughed, that´s a start, I'm getting her warmed up. I got up and walked a bit closer.

"please don´t ", she jerked back , "we can´t make the fated bond stronger, then it already is"

I stopped, "Fated bond? why can´t you say the word mate?" I asked

"because, it makes it too real, I have to deny us" she replied.

"deny? or reject us?" I asked, I was getting real nervous now.

" I can´t reject you", she said with a shock look in the eyes, "you have to reject me".

" I'm not going to reject you, I don´t want to reject you, you are my mate, I don't even know who you are or your name" I said, "can I at least know your name?"

"I have to get back, please move, so that I can get by. I'm sorry, please don´t follow me." she said, while jumping down from the rock, and ran into the forest towards the pack house.

“I accept you pearl white wolf as my mate”, I yell in her direction. And I felt something odd inside of me.

After I saw her run off, I jump up onto the big rock, I could still smell her.

She believed in mates, but not for her, it is said that there is a mate for all of us, I have had my doubts, but here she was. The moon goddess is said to have split your soul in half and when you find the other part, then your souls becomes one. Right now the other part of my soul just ran away saying that I had to reject her.

I stayed there, till her scent was gone.
