14. Pearl

"I haven't done anything" I said in shock, what is he accursing me off.

"well, I know that you haven´t done anything, I know that your healing makes the heat rate goes down, and his goes up, when you enter the room" he said with a smile on his face. "care to explain? 

I thought real hard, "I am sorry, but I don't think that I can doctor Sherman" I said, "I guess, I am not a very good doctor"

"not what I was thinking but okay, let me ask another question", he said, "why did you panic earlier, when you couldn't find him?

"well, he was the first one in the woods last night, saving me, I just wanted to make sure that he was okay" I said, trying to sound innocent. I knew damn well, that he was about to put two and two together. 

"they are mate, is it that difficult to see" Shane blurred out, now standing up from his seat in the corner. "come on, she burst into an Alphas bedroom, without knocking, calling him by his name, and not Alpha, he was pissed after that meeting with Alpha Brandon, and Kyle you heard them through the floor, he was not to touch her.  He went and fought and injured almost all training warriors after that meeting, and yesterday he ran into the woods with out calling his beta for help, not knowing what was out there, and she has had her eyes on that door all day", he pointed to the door behind me. "She's his lobster, he said with a smile, " am I right?".

I couldn't hold my tears back any longer, I tried covering my face with my hands, while I slowly nodded "yes" was the only words I could get out through sobbing.

Doctor Sherman quickly found me and pulled me into a hug, "Oh sweetie, don't cry, its a good thing, right?"

I look up at him, "I guess, except for the fact, that I wasn't suppose to have a mate, and he was told not to touch me" I am crying even more now. "and my dad wants him to take one of my sisters as his mate, and become our new Alpha. 

"Oh, doctor Sherman said, " I didn't think about that, we´ll just have to get Alpha Brandon to change his mind." 

"there's no chance of that", I said "and you know it"

He nodded, "I know" 

He squeezed me a little tighter "But I will help you in any way I can, so for right now, this poor guy," he nodded his head toward Aaron, needs you as close as possible, so I am assigning you to stay here and only leave, for food and private patters, and if you father got a problem with that, he´ll have to go trough me first, we´ll figure this out, I promise" He slowly let me go, smiled and left the room. 

Both Kyle and Shane came over and hugged me. They seemed generally happy and pleased.

Kyle and Shane left Aarons room around midnight, there was no sign of any changes in his current state, so I offered to stay the night and keep an eye on him, and the bond between us, should help him heal even faster, and also I didn't want to leave him.

Enya my wolf, also wanted to stay, she hardly even wanted to me go to the bathroom.

I sat in the chair that Shane had been sitting in all day, it reclined, so I somewhat could lay down and sleep. I most of all wanted to crawled up next to Aaron and sleep beside him, but for right now, I don't think touching him was the right choice.  We still haven't talked about our situation, so I didn't know if he wanted me or not. But I did know, right now, in this moment, that I wanted to be with him, I wanted him so much it hurts, no matter the consequences.

The next morning, Kyle and Shane brought me breakfast, and replaced me, while I went to get a shower and had a change of clothes. 

When I came back , Doctor Sherman had checked all of Aarons wounds and changed his bandages.

"He is healing real well, faster then I would have expected" doctor Sherman told me, when I met him coming out of Aarons room, " I have also lowered his pain medicine, just a little, he is still going to be out all day, but maybe tomorrow we can wake him up".

"he is going to be fine Pearl" he insured me, before leaving to taking care of some new injured members of our pack. 

I didn't get to stay long in Aarons room. Doctor Sherman came and wanted my help. Apparently our pack warriors had decided to go and investigate and attack some campground outside of our territory and found a camp with rouges, who was being transformed into silver fang beast. 

Luckily no pack member died in the attack, just more silver flesh wounds that need to be cleaned, stitched up, medicated and added a little goddess healing. 

We had them all discharged before dinner, the big full moon ceremony was tonight, so nobody wanted to spend their evening or night in the infirmary.

The full moon ceremony is a big thing in our pack, and I love them, but tonight there is no place I rather be, then right here with Aaron, my mate. Finding your mate is a big thing for a werewolf, the chances is said to be small, but tonight there is five couples celebration, one off them being my sister and Kyle. There is a big feast, and afterwards there is the marking. The couples get on stage and usually the man marks the girl, it is like a wedding, but instead of a ring on the finger, the male bite the female in the neck with his canines, and that will leave a mark, so every body can see, that this person is taken. 

Those who doesn't find their mate, but chose to mark someone they love, do not get a ceremony, it is more of a private matter. So getting to share that experience with your family and pack is huge.
