9. Pearl

I was just about to finish my rounds and start my healing treatment on one of the warriors, that had be injured in the rouge attack. His wolf had healed him, so there wasn't any physicals damage to see, but he seamed to still be in pain.

When wounded warriors came limping in. They seems to be in training outfits, there usually would come two or three warriors in after training around five, but right now at three thirty, we were standing with nine injured warriors and apparently more to come.

"what's going on, are we being attacked my rouges again?", I asked in panic to the first warrior, I got hold off and led him to the first bed.

"No, Alpha Aaron joint the psychical training today", he said, "and apparently he is pissed and is taking it out on us".

"and you let him?" I asked in somewhat of a aww.

"hell, yeah we did, How often do you get to fight an Alpha, he responded proudly.

"guess not often" I replied.

"my first time, he said with a smile.

"Was it worth it, I asked?"

"Hell yeah it was, he almost shouted. the other wounded warriors joint him "hell yeah"

No one was seriously injured, their wolf would be able to fix them by tomorrow, so we just had to check them for broken bone and to make sure that they rested and hydrated, until they were proper healed.

It appears, that Aaron doesn't differ from female or male warrior, because we had them both, and all in great moods. They were in pain, but their spirit was high, apparently fighting an Alpha is a big deal.

When that last warrior was treated, it was already eight o´clock. Dinner was over, I was hungry since I had skipped lunch, trying to stalk Aaron, so I just hoped that the kitchen had saved some food for me and doctor Sherman.

We went to the dining hall together. Doctor Sherman quickly found his family and I could see mine sitting at our family table talking with Aaron and Alpha Bain.

Carol, Kyle and Shane was nowhere to be found.

Aaron was sitting almost at the end of the table, with his back to me next to his father and across from my mom, as I walked closer, I could see his body language shift. I could smell him, butterflies started to develop in my stomach, Enya howled.

"Hey Pearl", My name was shouted out in the dining hall, I looked past our family table to the kitchen entrance, the chef was standing with a hot plate of food for me. I walked over, " thank you Sue, you are a lifesaver, I said with a smile.

"no honey, that would be you", she smiled back. "I heard about the warrior training today, though that you and doctor Sherman might be working late", she said and then pinched my cheek.

I got my plate and went to find a seat with my family, I caught Aarons eyes and my heart skipped a beat, but before I could get all jelly, I saw the bruise over his left eye and I reacted in instinct and out to touch his face. He quickly pulled his head back and mindlike me "you think that is wise?"

"honey, sit here, my mom said, I broke eye contact and looked at where she was pointing, she had scooted a seat, and left a spot open across from Aaron.

He gave me a nervous smile.

I looked down the table, and could see that they had all finish eating, and was just chatting, according to Hadley and Gabby's behavior and their outfits, I could see they were trying real hard to get Aarons attention. They were further down the table.

My mom and my dad and Alpha Bain excused themselves and left their seat open for Hadley and Gabby to move in close to Aaron. Maria left with some friends and left Malena alone at the other end of the table.

Hadley and Gabby went all chatty, but looking at Aaron, he was not in the mood for talking.

"can we talk?" I asked in mind link, trying not to look at him, but kept my focus on my plate of food.

"I am really not in the mood to get rejected today" he responded back. he got one hand running through his hair and a sad look in his eyes.

I looked him straight in the eyes, and linked "I would never, just meet me at the moon rock at midnight, we need to talk, please"

I went back to concentrate on my food, trying to ignore Hadley and Gabby´s flirting.

I was interrupted eating by Steve, a pack member, those mate was having contractions, so I quickly got up and followed him out of the dining hall and over to his house to help his mate deliver. Leasing me no time to worry about, what to say and do later at the moon rock
