Max's POV:
I walk into the staff room and her scent hits me like a tonne of bricks. She doesn’t usually come in here in the mornings, so I am not expecting it straight away and it takes me off guard completely. A mixture of chocolate and salted caramel, Goddess, she smells f*****g amazing and she looks even
more mouth watering. Her blond hair is braided to one side, exposing her smooth neck, her sexy curves wrapped in a loose shirt but cinched at the waist. The leggings she is wearing are stretched perfectly over her tight bum, leaving little to the imagination. I feel my c**k twitch immediately and my mind descends into dirty thoughts of what I could do to that body. I picture grabbing her from behind, bending her over the coffee table and roughly pulling down her thin leggings. I would use my fingers first, gently pushing two straight into her p***y. While I use my other hand to grasp at her breasts, finding her n*****s through the soft material of her shirt and tugging, eliciting sweet moans from her sexy full lips. She would get wet for me quickly but I would keep teasing her, sliding my fingers in and out of her, until her core started to clench and she begged me for more. Then I would replace them with my aching c**k roughly, and start pounding into her from behind until she screams my name, exploding into her orgasm causing me to come undone and find my intense release. My c*m would fill her up and her juices would cover my d**k as we stay wrapped together, bent over the coffee table, coming down from the high.
Holy f**k, I shake my head realising it was all a daydream. All that just from looking at her. I have got to get control of myself. Fantasies like this are dangerous. It has all taken me by surprise so quickly and I am definitely not prepared for battle this morning as my wolf, Jack, tries to fight his way to the front of my mind, wanting to take control to bring the fantasy to life.
Go to mate! Take her now!
I should explain that I am a shape-shifter, a werewolf. I have a wolf who shares my mind and a mate is a gift from the Moon Goddess. Someone who is made to fit you perfectly. As a wolf, the scent is what draws you to them and the attraction is instant. You can recognise your mate straight away. Usually, mates will run into each others arms the instant they meet, unable to control their immediate carnal desires. They often mate and mark each other the same day. Marking in my world doesn’t mean using red pen to annotate books or papers. It means sinking my sharp canines into her beautiful smooth neck to leave a crescent shape on her milky skin, making her mine forever and showing every man out there that she is mine. My c**k twitches as I imagine her finally being mine.
I can't blame Jack for being pushy, we have been waiting for six months and it only gets harder. For whatever reason, the mate the Moon Goddess blessed me with is human. I knew immediately that she was mine but she does not recognise the bond yet. To make matters worse, she is already married.
The day we met was the best day of my life so far, but also the worst. I am the Alpha of the Rose Moon Pack. It's one of the biggest packs in England. I took over as Alpha on my 18th birthday, which is pretty normal. My Beta, Andrew, and I then spent years perfecting the running of the pack and now it runs like a well-oiled machine. Everyone has responsibilities and everyone performs them to perfection. From time-to-time, we have to worry about the occasional rogue. But my whole pack trains together, even the children have self-defence classes, so any issue like that is quickly dealt with. Other than that, these days, due to numerous alliances, life is pretty quiet. Every now and then there is something bigger to work on, but usually I spend half the day training and keeping on top of communication, reports, overseeing duties etc. and the rest of the day I have to occupy myself. As I am the only un-mated wolf in my hierarchy, I am often left on my own. At first, I found extra work to do, but it just wasn't necessary and so it wasn't fulfilling. In the end, I decided to spend some time broadening my mind and I took up a classics degree.
Then, when I was finished, I found that I was idle again and so I contemplated getting a part-time job to keep me occupied. I knew it would mean visiting human territory and so I wasn't sure at first. But when I found a post being advertised at a university only 45 minutes away, Andrew, pushed me to go for the interview and so I went, but without much motivation to get the job.
That was until I saw her. I remember the day well. I caught her scent as we were wandering around the university, in and out of lecture halls and classrooms. I was hardly listening to the old man showing me around, my mind was busy still contemplating whether or not I even wanted the job. Then we walked into one particular room and the smell of chocolate and salted caramel engulfed me. Mate. I froze, unsure of how to proceed. I had given up on finding her, resigning myself to running my pack on my own. Some wolves take a chosen mate, but it never did appeal to me.
The old man was still talking but I had completely drowned him out by this point. My eyes scanned the room to see if I could see her but she wasn't there. I refocused my attention on the old man.
"Whose room is this?" I remember asking. He told me this room was mainly used by one lecturer, a lady named Victoria, Vee for short. That's our mate! Jack could hardly contain himself. If I had been in wolf form he would have been wagging his tail like an overly excited puppy.
I walked back out of the room and headed off down the corridor, trying to see if I could pick up on her scent, I hadn’t noticed it before. She obviously hadn’t been anywhere else much. I caught a faint hint of it and took off in that direction. The old man nearly having to run to keep up, I was sure he was completely confused by my sudden movement. He was trying to continue his tour, giving me snippets of information as we passed things but I was not listening. Her scent was getting stronger, and my heart beat was getting faster. She was getting closer, could she sense me too? Was she coming to me? We reached a corner and I knew that when we turned it she would be there, my mate. My pace quickened until I was almost running.
I turned and then there she was, like a brilliant ray of sunshine, bursting into my life. It was like I had been a blind man and now I could finally see. She was walking down that corridor, talking to someone I assumed to be another lecturer. Her long blond hair flowing and her full red lips were smiling, that smile. I was captivated. I stopped and waited for her to notice me.
She caught my eye and smiled even brighter. My breathing became shallow and fast. This was it! MATE! But I rapidly came crashing down to reality as she lowered her gaze and carried on walking. Eyebrows furrowed, I followed her with my eyes, feet rooted to the spot. What happened? Jack was equally confused. She did not come running; she did not even really notice me. Yet she changed my world the second I saw her. I sank down onto a chair positioned outside a room, in the corridor. Head in my hands, I was contemplating what could possibly be wrong.
She’s human. Jack registered it before me. Of course. I had been so wrapped up in her being my mate that I didn’t actually pay attention to the fact that she didn’t have the scent of a wolf. She therefore, wouldn’t be able to pick up on our bond the same way.
The old man cleared his throat, snapping me out of my spiral.
“Are you OK son?” he asked.
“Yes, sorry, I er, had a headache. I think I’ve seen everything haven’t I? When can we start the
interview?”
He directed me back to a lavish office, filled floor-to-ceiling with thick, old, hardback books, you know, the ones with leather spines and gold script. On one stack of shelves was a collection of antiquities, with pieces that looked like they came from all around the world. It certainly was a cliché of an office, but it was magnificent.
The interview lasted about an hour. We mostly talked about his travels and our mutual love of classic literature. At the end he shook my hand and told me he would be in touch.
I remember that headed out to my black sports car and dipped into the driver’s seat. I decided to pull out of the visitors spot and find somewhere slightly more inconspicuous so I could sit and wait to try and catch a glimpse of her before I left. I chose a spot in the back corner of the car park, by an oak tree. There were two rows of cars in front, meaning that I would not be noticed, but I could clearly see the front doors. I waited for over an hour, all the while trying to formulate a plan for how to deal with the situation I was now in. There was no doubt in my mind that she would be my mate. I was not going to give her up just because she was human, even though it did make it much more difficult. I would obviously just have to do this the human way. If she couldn’t feel the bond, she would need to develop it, fall in love so to speak. I couldn’t decide whether it would be best to tell her straight away, or to try and get to know her first. If I blurted it out, there is a chance she would freak out and never let me close enough again for her to fall in love with me. I decided that I would definitely need time and hoped I had done enough to get the job so I could spend time with her.
It was starting to get dark when she eventually emerged, carrying a pile of books. My heart clenched watching her. I admired her beautiful face as she stepped out into the cold, a slight pink blush on her cheeks; her dark eyes lined with black, looked about the car park as though searching for something as her thick black eyelashes blinked against the wind. She was smiling again, almost as if she was sharing a private joke with herself, as the wind whipped her golden hair around her face. I watched in a trance. Jack was ready to abandon the plan to get to know her and head straight out into the winter air to take her in our arms and make her ours whether she was ready or not.
She wobbled slightly in her heels, not having her arms to balance her as they were holding so many books. Instinctually, I moved to get out of the car to go and help, but before I could, I saw a man approach her out of nowhere and whisk her off her feet, into a bridal pose.
