“Sir, follow this way”
One of Damon's guards led a man who had other armed men following him into Damon's house. He leads them into the apartment where he locked Amelia. The elderly man got to the door and discovered that it was locked.
“Where's my son's secretary”
The old man asked authoritatively.
“Sir, she's at her office” the guard replied.
“Tell her to get me the key to this room. I have no time to waste here.”
“Yes sir, " the guard replied while bowing to show respect, then hurried out of sight.
************
Amelia was innocently lying on the bed while wetting the pillow with tears when she began to hear voices making unfriendly conversation by the door of the room where she was locked. She couldn't withstand the discussion any longer, so she got up and tiptoed closer to the door to know what the conversation was all about. It wasn't easy for her to know the reason the people were there. She already sensed that there was danger, but there was no clarification about what it was all about.
************
In a few seconds, he arrived with a young lady who was trembling as she also bowed and greeted the old man.
“ Unlock this door”
The old man said without responding to her greeting.
“Yes sir. She replied and brought out countless keys and docketed one into the door. She opened the door and the old man and his squad entered as though they were looking for something crucial to them. Then Amelia was standing behind the door, throwing a confused look at everyone who got into the room. The old man sauntered majestically to the bed and sat confidently.
“Bring her here”
The armed men who got into the room with the old man didn't wait for him to finish his words before they dragged Amelia to him.
“Who is this? What have I done to offend those who I have never seen in my life? Is this a dream or reality?”
Amelia kept creating rhetorical questions. The guard then pushed her to the ground, and she fell like a boneless animal. It was to her greatest surprise that the old man sounded her a thunderous slap that got her seeing only stars and hearing a hissing sound for some seconds. The slap moved her out of the realm that She couldn't comprehend what was happening. It got her deaf and dumb that she could neither say any word nor make any move apart from falling helplessly to the ground. A few seconds later, she recollected back herself, and she coughed thrice consecutively. The old man drew her up, not minding that she was still intoxicated by the slap. Her very were already pale and the confused look on her face was very obvious. I can certainly say that she was swimming in an ocean of confusion and embarrassment. Since she did not know her offense and the people in the room were armed, she had no choice but to dance to their tune. Though it was costly for her to just accept a punishment, she knew nothing about it.
“You're Amelia, right?”
The old man questioned with confidence.
Though Amelia lacked the temerity to make herself bold enough, she managed to answer “Yes sir” both with her mouth and body language. Even the response she made by nodding her head was louder than her spoken words.
“I know, you're the one trying to cause a problem in my home” The old man asserted.
Immediately Amelia heard what he said, she turned to look at the people who accompanied the man into the room she was locked in. Lo and behold, she saw Danciana in their midst. That caused her to automatically flashback on what happened the first day she met with Danciana.
“Sir, I can explain! It's not what you…!”
She pleaded while tears already began to roll down her cheeks.
“Explain what?” Danciana intruded
“She's the slut that wants to take away my fiancée.” She concluded.
“That's not the truth, sir…”
She continued her plea
“Don't listen to her. I only want to get her out of my sight” Danciana complained.
“Give me the gun,” The old man said authoritatively whole stretching his hand towards one of his squads to hand over a gun to him
**************
“For how long has my dad been in this apartment?” Damon questioned his bodyguards as he stepped out of his Limo and saw his father's convoy packed at his car park.
“It has not been long, sir. Just a few minutes ago.” The man standing before him replied. Damon couldn't hold his rage as his work wasn't specific about his response, then she screamed.
“I asked for a response and not imagination. How long has he stayed here?”
“He arrived here 20 minutes ago”
The man answered. Damon, who has been questioning him just, heard the response and left him without saying any word further. He hurried into the apartment. While already halfway into his office, he overheard mumbling from the side where he locked Amelia, he halted to determine what was happening. He heard his father's voice and turned in that direction.
From a distance, he saw the door where he locked Amelia wide open, then he increased the speed with which he trekked.
“Father, What's wrong?”
Damon asked as he saw his father pointing riffle at Amelia while Amelia was crying helplessly before his father and his squads. Everyone turned to know who was talking, but the inscription on his face was terrifying. Despite the number of the squads in the room, as he asked, he was going close to where Amelia was kneeling.
“Is she not the slut that wants to be the thorn in my nerve? Father, I just want to get her out of my sight”
Damon heard Danciana saying from one end of the room.
“Is that all?” Damon asked and held Amelia's hand and was dragging her to get up, not minding that his father had a gun in his hand.
“Damon, show some respect. I remain your father as long as I live.”
The old man yelled at Damon.
“I'm sorry, sir. But this girl committed no offense to be treated in this way.”
Damon answered and took Amelia by the hand and take her out of the room. None of the squad could utter a word. They kept gawking at him while also expecting the old man to give a command.
Danciana managed to block him from taking Amelia away from the room, but he gently pushed her away, and they left the room. The shock on the old man's face was appalling. Even Danciana couldn't comprehend what Damon asked in such a way. He bothered not to look back at anyone by vanishing from their sight.
