Jia Lin and little Demon sat inside a room not so small but not so big either, in it could be seen a relatively small bed with a table and a chair to the side, in front of him could be seen a bowl of soup and three steam buns. On the ground was a lump of darkish colored meat that little Demon was eating nonstop, just by how he was mowing down the meat, one could tell that it was really hungry from the get-go.
Jia Lin ate the steam buns and drank the bowl of soup like there was no tomorrow when was in the Mists Trials he hadn't eaten for days and had to go through world-shattering pain and broken bones. His body though strong was now at its limits, it was said that when a martial artist reaches the Soul Creation stage, they could go for months without eating or drinking. The only thing they had to do was use the pure Qi energy that was between heaven and earth to nourish their Bodies.
After eating, Jia Lin and little Demon took the time out to rest, little Demon without a care in the world went to the door side, laid down, and started to sleep. Its belly was now full and it needed to rest its weak body and solidify the boiling blood that was ramping inside of its veins, seeing this, Jia Lin only released a light chuckle as he took off his clothes and went in a bathtub that was filled with warm water. In his mind flashed the trials of the Mists Trial grounds and his mind went numb, the things he had to go through was really too heart-stopping and even him with all his years of experience had almost collapsed due to the surging pain that he had gone through.
His body and mental state were exhausted to the point of passing out. In the steaming bathtub, after Jia Lin washed for a couple of minutes, could be seen back oils that were endlessly coming off of his skin, the oil was thick and black, one could even say that this oil-like substance looked like or could be passed off as thick mud. The Saint Realm was a level of body training, if one didn't have a firm foundation then in the latter days of cultivation, one would only face thunderous bottlenecks and wouldn't be able to breakthrough. So this process of body refining was something that no martial artist could escape from, every martial cultivator had to go through it, they had to train their bones, muscle, blood, flesh, and internal organs to the point of being firm like fine steel.
A normal martial artist's strength after completing the first three levels of the Saint Realm could generate a force of 1000 pounds, their muscles would have been refined to the limits as their flesh was firm and hard. After finishing the sixth level their strength would be 2000 pounds and their blood would be filled with surging vitality and could flow unimpeded. One had to know that after each breakthrough, one had to solidify their cultivation base before any possible changes could occur to their body and strength.
It was even feather known that after breaking through, the next level would be even hard to breakthrough. This was because each level of cultivation was harder than the next and much stronger than the previous one. If one didn't have the resources to break through the next level then they could only blame that on themselves, after a martial artist finished the ninth level of the Saint Realm, they would have 3000 pounds force within their muscle. This was where the bones and internal organs were trained and nourish to their limits by either intensive training or the use of rare medicinal herbs.
But if one was to neglect the level of their cultivation base and use pills after pills to boost their cultivation without first building a firm and solid foundation, then their strength wouldn't even add up to 2500 pounds of force, if they were lucky enough, they would be able to generate 2000 pounds of force and this was considering if they were lucky enough and as a martial practitioner trains, all the impurities within his body would be expelled.
Jia Lin closed his eyes while endless black oil drained from his body, this black oil substance was all the impurities that Jia Lin had in his body. Most of the times due to how much impurities were expelled from the body while cultivating, one could know if they were on the verge of breaking through or if they had gotten of little stronger but not all the times would the expelling of impurities within the body be a sign of getting stronger. In some of the large powers, there were rare herbs and medicines that could expel impurities thus marking the Qi with a person's body much purer, but these kinds of herbs were hard to find muscles grow.
While Jia Lin was in the Mists Trials, he had undergone a massive boost in battle powers from the third level of the Saint Realm to the ninth. This kind of cultivation growth was something that was never seen on the Continent of Sara for thousands of years. His bones, muscles, flesh, blood, and internal organs had been refined to the point of defying common sense, his meridians were three times that of a normal martial artist and the number of resources he would need when cultivating would be astonishing, adding up to three times that of a normal person.
Jia Lin's body had undergone a heart-shattering baptism at an astonishing rate and due to this, Jia Lin before doing anything had to stabilize his cultivation base or in the future, he would have problems breaking through. While he was in the Mists trials, he wasn't given the chance to release all the impurities that were inside his body, but now he had the chance. Thus the current situation of Jia Lin's bathtub being filled with a black oily substance was occurring.
After Jia Lin closed his eyes and after a few breaths of time, he quickly fell asleep. The time went by like this until it was early morning the next day, in his sleep, Jia Lin could hear mother TEE TEE'S endless callings and he quickly wakes up. "Had I been sleeping all this time?" thought Jia Lin but afterward he was shocked to find this the steaming bathtub was filled with black oil, that not even him right now could see through.
He was shocked only for on instant "I'm coming" he shouted to mother TEE TEE, he then quickly drained out the oily water and took out a new set of clothes from his spacial ring. These sets of clothes, Jia Lin had taken when he was at Fen Gou's mansion. After dressing himself, he also found that little Demon was also still sleeping so he didn't go to wake him up and just exited the room quietly. After the door closed, Jia Lin heard a voice in his head saying, "Bring back a deer's meat for me, I'm starving"
After hearing this voice, Jia Lin laughed in his heart and said "OK, I will probably be out for a while though" he said while walking to the front desk of mother TEE TEE. "No problem maybe later I'll come and find you" replied little Demon while rolling over on its belly. "Ah mother TEE TEE you called, what is it," asked Jia Lin with a weird smile, if his heart could drip blood on the floor now, it would because Jia Lin could still remember his own image giving away his silvers coins to this old lady.
"Yes, aum breakfast his ready, would you like to eat now or later" asked mother Tee Tee with a pleasing smile. "ah so that's it," thought Jia Lin, "no, I would like to eat later if you don't mind but you can send a few pieces of meat to my friend in the room," he said while looking around as if he was searching for something. "OK then" replied mother Tee Tee but then she noticed that the young man before her was looking around as if he had lost something of his but she didn't bother to say or ask anything.
After a few minutes, Jia Lin asked with a shy smile, "aum you wouldn't happen to know a place that would have a large opening and was also filled with large rocks other than the Mystic forest would you" even though Muo city wasn't that big, within on area of 323 miles, it could be considered the biggest inhabitants in its territory and the Mystic forest could be considered as it's largest nearby forestry that met the requirements of this young man.
But due to the fact that the forest was a dangerous place for a young boy such as this, she hadn't bothered to say that it was the only one, out of fear that this young man would go there. The city was filled with a lot of martial arts schools, though they weren't big, they had fields were they would train their disciples day in and day out in the martial way. But she hadn't been to any of these martial arts schools before so she could only make a suggestion.
