Martial School

"young man, the only fields that would fit the descriptions that you are speaking of, would be at the martial schools that are located at the far west and south, at the edges of the city" replied mother Tee Tee after giving it some thought. Though she knew in her heart that this boy was a little cheap-ass punk, she didn't commit it to heart and only kept smiling. "Martial schools huh" Jia Lin murmured before looking out the door. "do these martial schools take in disciples at this time of the year? He asked with a puzzled look. "I'm sorry to say, but I'm only a small Innkeeper and the matters of the martial schools I know nothing about" it was true heat mother Tee Tee was only an Innkeeper and the matters regarding the martial schools she really knew nothing about but due to the fact that these two martial schools were the only such of their kind, so it was normal for her to know their locations. "Do you know anyway for a youngster like me to make any money around here?" Jia Lin asked while still looking outside. In his mind, great waves surged, he was thinking about ways of getting money while also thinking about his Cultivation. He had lived for a very long time and had seen and know many great techniques but most of those skills, he would need to have a much a higher Cultivation to begin practicing in them. "This city is quite big, you would have to go searching and see if you're luck is any good" chuckled mother Tee Tee before turning around to leave. "Sigh, guess I don't have much to say in this matter" Jia Lin shook his head as he steps through the doors of the Inn. It was early morning and the city of Muo was as lively as it could be, vendors were already out preparing their stalls, and stores were long opened. The city's streets were also already jam-packed with people going to and from, occasionally one would even see children running through the crowds of people playing their ball games and such. "OK, first I'll go check out these martial schools. Maybe I can find a good practice field to test my strength in or something like that" Jia Lin went straight into the crowds of people and headed towards the south, to him right now, it didn't matter which martial school he chooses. The only thing he wanted to know was if there was a good place for him there to test himself or to maybe get even stronger. He continued to walk for a quarter of an hour while also making a few stops, he looked at pill and herb shops, treasure stores, and of the likes. As the sun rose higher and higher, the crowds of people only grew increasingly but this didn't bother Joan Lin in the least but made him even happier. "Muscle-strengthening pills here, get your muscle strengthening pill for only 200 silvers" "Herbs here, get your very own 20-year-old spirit grass here" "Flexible armor, swords, and hammers here. Young hero's come, take a look" Various vendors and shop owners shouted various things across the city to attract their customers. Jia Lin only smiled at the liveliness of things, it had been a while since he came across such liveliness but soon he came to a stop in front of a large build with the words South Wind Martial School written in bold words over the front door. The door was pitch black with a white handprint in the middle of it and around the handprint could be seen a blowing wind that was coming from the south of the handprint. While looking, Jia Lin could feel a strong aura if combat rushing towards his face, he felt refresh and lots of old memories came rushing back in. The smile never left his young face as he stepped up to push the door open. The door pushed open and inside Jia Lin could see the martial house disciples practicing in the way, they were standing in front of bronze puppets and throwing out kicks and punches while shouting HA HA HA HA On the walls, he could see numerous weapons such as shields, swords, war hammers, daggers, Spears, and many such combat weapons. To the far back of the training room, he could also see three doors that were white in color with black handprints on them, theses doors held behind them a strong aura that could even match up to his own coming from the middle door, but almost. To him, the atmosphere was really good and refreshing. He could finally bless his eyes on martial practitioners practicing in the way and not fighting on a bloody battlefield or having in bones broken and his flesh and muscle torn into pieces. His mind was calm, his face had a smile on it and his mood was good. As the disciples of the martial school were practicing, some came to a stop after noticing that someone had walked in. This action of some of the juniors of the city was an everyday thing, they would often come in high hopes of joining the martial school but would at the end fail the entrance exam. So, them, seeing a new person walking in didn't bother them too much, the only reason they stop was that they sensed an aura that was thick and held savagery in it, it made their minds went numb and even cause some of the weaker disciples Cultivation bases to tremble. "Ninth level Saint Realm" "But how comes his aura is so strong and Savage" Snort... "so what, he's not stronger than brother hang Zhou" Various thoughts came into the minds of the disciples when they sensed Jia Lin's aura, some even snorted and only think that this was normal because the majority of the martial house disciples were weak and were only at the 6th levels of the saint realm. So when they came across someone that was much stronger than they were, of course, they would feel a strong pressure weighing down on them. Jia Lin saw all the weird stirs and all the cold ones as well but he showed no attention to the likes of them because these were persons who to him, haven't even seen the light of day yet. And it was at the time that Jia Lin heard someone calling out to him in a friendly voice, "Haha brother Lin we meet again, you've been gone for so long haha" Jia Lin was surprised as he turned his head to only see Fen Guo walking over towards him with a big smile on his face. While Jia Lin was walking through the city, he had known that at some point he would run into Fen Guo sooner or later but he was never expecting to meet him here today. "This guy is everywhere," he thought to himself before putting on a weird smile and walked over to meet him. "haha brother Fen what a sudden surprise," said Jia Lin as he cupped his fists in greetings, "It sure is, I thought that I'd never see you again brother, haha this here is where I train in the martial way, the South wind Marti....." while Fen Guo was talking, his eyes suddenly went wide with shock and his mouth even fell open till it almost could reach the floor, his mind had waves crashing all over and he couldn't even get to finish his sentence. "Brother Lin, you're Cultivation, ho..how" ask Fen Guo with a shocked expression. Hearing his question, Jia Lin only chuckled and said "Oh this, I got lucky by finding some rare plant in the forest a few months ago and after two months it was like this" he said with a shy facial expression. Hearing this Fen Guo's mouth twitched "Got Lucky my grandmother's ass, this is far from luck, oh my sweet sister this is a God sent blessing" Fen Gou thought while shaking his head to clear his mind. During these past months, his Cultivation hadn't progressed even a step and he was training day in and day out. But this brother Lin of his crossed the heavens in one go, he was still at the fourth level of the saint realm and though his family had gathered a few wealth over the years, it wasn't to the point of being able to offer to buy rare medicinal herbs that could pull off such on effect. The things that Jia Lin had gone through in the mist trials were shocking and mind-blowing, it wasn't that he didn't want to tell Fen Guo about his encounters in the mystic forest, it was just that he couldn't. He feared that if persons were to find out that he had stayed inside the mystic forest for three whole months without coming out, with the strong fluctuations of yin Qi energies flaring up then he will only be hunted down by the major powers. In a means to find out how he had done it and what kind of encounters had he gone through, maybe that would be all but he still feared that they might do other things to him and he wouldn't be able to do anything about it, seeing that his Cultivation was so low.
