Shocking Talent

1631 Words
It was known to each and every martial practitioner within Muo city that the yin Qi energy inside of the Mystic forest, at certain times of a given month was a dangerous thing one could encounter. It as also been recorded that hundreds of lives had been lost to this type of energy and also to some of the most tyrannical furious beasts known to man. The yin Qi energy present inside the forest had an unknown source that not even some of the major powerhouses of Muo city could find. Even though the yin Qi energy inside the forest was deadly to the extreme, if one's body was strong enough to endure the flesh-tearing pain and freezing cold energy waves, then one's body can pass through a phase of refinement. This type of body refinement is very suitable for those who practice yin Qi martial arts, the yin Qi energy within the Mystic forest was pure to the extreme and could also solidify one's cultivation base but if one could somehow manage to transform this brutal energy of yin Qi mists back into pure Qi and then absorb it into their bodies. Then a shocking source of cultivation resource they would have. "How comes this body hadn't died yet brother" questioned a shock guard as he jumped down from off the city walls. His expression was one of shock but also veneration "To be honest with you younger brother, I do not know how he managed to survive but him surviving for three months isn't the big deal" replied the guard who knew Jia Lin. Though Jia Lin had already disappeared from their views, he was still looking in his direction, he then murmured "Some luck he has". He then went on to further explain the rest of his thoughts to his fellow guardsmen, "Some few days ago, the Mystic forest yin Qi energy undulations surge to unbelievable heights. It was these shocking undulations that caused the Leveling Earth Sect and the Lou Zen Clan to head towards the forest in search of good fortune. But my sources say that they had encountered a strong master that was even stronger than their respected clan and sect heads" Hearing what their fellow guardsmen had to say was like a bolt of lightning in Broad daylight. The news was shocking, what was the Masters of the clans, Sects, and factions, they were the powerhouses that controlled everything, though they still had to give face to the Emperor their overall power was earth-shaking. To think that within the Mystic forest could be found a master that was even greater than all these masters combined, what kind of existence was this. "I don't know many details but that boy, three months ago he was at the third stage of the Saint Realm but now he is at the ninth level of the Saint. But just by his aura alone, one could tell that you could face persons above maybe one or two levels above his own" "Not to even mention that wolf he was walking with. Didn't you guys sense how strong it was, it was at the first stage of the Earth Realm. How strong of a profound beast his that and to think that it was walking with him and not attacking him. He went in without it but came out with it" After hearing all these things, the minds of the guards were filled with roaring sounds and crashing waves. A furious beast which was at the first level of the Earth Realm, what kind of existence was that. It was known that some of the chosen of the large clans, Sects and factions were at the second and third levels of the Earth Realm but to find a beast that was at the first and walking with a boy who three months ago was at the third level of the Saint Realm but was now at the ninth and could fight two levels above his own, this was too much for them to handle all at once. To them, all these things sounded like things that would be found within a storybook or the ancient texts. It was a known fact that some cultivators even if they practice to the point of death or for even a hundred years and their comprehensive skills were weak and lacking, they would be stuck at the Saint Realm and was unable to breakthrough. Some martial artists would even be stuck at the third or fourth level of the Saint Realm because to breakthrough each level was much much harder than the previous but that wasn't just it, the number of resources that one would need to do so was also shocking. Some cultivators due to their special physiques would often need to use rare medicines or pills to breakthrough and these types of resources were hard to find. Even if they were easy to source, the amount of gold needed to do so was heart-stopping but to some of the large Sects, Clans, and Factions, this wasn't much. This was because these powerhouses held behind them, hundreds of years of history and wealth so to obtain these types of resources wasn't anything much and this was why the majority of those with good latent talent took to the sects and factions. The two major Clans only stick to themselves and the only way to get into one of these Clans was through marriage. But the requirements for marriage was that you were a dragon among men. But the situation that these lowly guards were faced with was shocking, a young body not older than maybe fifteen, sixteen who was at the third level of the Earth Realm manage to breakthrough six whole levels in the space of three months, this was too much. To them, Jia Lin was a monster genius in human form that could fight against persons two levels above his own, and let's not forget that he had managed to tame a profound beast that was at the first level of the Earth realm. "If he's not careful, some of the stronger martial artists may try to steal his beast from him or if they know how shocking his cultivation speed is, some of the more arrogant young masters would stop at nothing to assassinate him. Even the powerhouses would stop at nothing to know how he had stayed inside the forest for so long" Commented an old man who suddenly appeared out of nowhere. Seeing this old man, the guards that were talking amongst themselves quickly straightened their backs and shouted, "Greetings to city gate head Wang" "Okay enough of a that, this boy haha, this city is in for a new change," said the old man, though he was old, his body was muscular and his eyes brows looked like a sharp sword. His name was only Wang or so the guards think and he of his younger days was apart of the Leveling Earth Sect, but due to some incident, he was removed from the sect walls and placed as the head commander of the city walls. His aura was of the first level of the Earth Realm. It was late in the night, the moon had already reached its peak in the night sky, illuminating the whole city. Even though it was late in the night, it could be said that the city of Muo was one to never sleep. Shops were still opened, along with many other places such as Inns and so forth, Jia Lin and little Demon walked deep inside the city but what was unknown to them was that the guards were talking and keeping a close eye on him and little Demon. Nonetheless, Jia Lin and little Demon came to a stop in front of a small house with the words 'Mother Tee Tee's Inn' written at the top. After thinking for a while he said "I don't really want to bother brother Fen Gou for such small matters. Maybe it's best that we stay here for a while and go see him after I stabilize my foundation", Jia Lin had gone through a surge in his level of cultivation, his Qi was unsteady and he needed some rest, "This would be Best" replied little Demon, it could be seen that with its new growth in strength so was it's intelligence. "Very well then," said Jia Lin as he stepped through the doors of mother Tee Tee's Inn, the Inn was not that large, to begin with, and it looked to be as if it was someone's home. As he stepped in, he came face to face with an old woman who wore a respectful smile on her face. She then said "How may I help this little friend", "How much for a room" replied Jia Lin straight away, "For a room is two silvers per three days, meals are also provided with baths," said mother Tee Tee with a smile. "Two silvers, Holly sh*T why didn't she just kill me instead", Jia Lin's facial expressions were ugly when he heard the price for the room but this price was beyond good, Jia Lin was just a cheap person. "This young one is really cheap" thought mother Tee Tee with a weird smile. "OK here's six silvers, I'll be staying for nine days and here's one extra silver for meals for my friend here" Jia Lin's heart burned with flames when he was giving the seven silvers to mother Tee Tee, his hands somewhat trembled at the thought of spending money but it was needed to be done. "Sigh, all my good money, my good money, gone" murmured Jia Lin. After a few minutes mother Tee Tee gave Jia Lin a key with the number three on it, Jia Lin took the key and headed to his new room feeling frustrated.
