The Opening Of Domains

As the three attacks fought back and forth, a blinding light exploded outwards as the ghost images of the green tree rushed in front of the Black Panther and collided with the broken skull warrior head-on, while the Black Panther slammed into it afterward. While brandishing its broadsword, the broken skull warrior took their attacks head-on. As the air around them collapsed, shock waves of lightening were generated from its center. Roaring sounds filled the sky as a blinding light shot into the air, parting the clouds above.

When the light faded, the Black Panther had collapsed, the ghost images of the green tree had vanished and the broken skull warrior had also disappeared. General Odian Grayson coughed up mouths full of fresh blood as he was forced to retreat thirty meters away panting.

The broken skull warrior was a life-saving treasure that general Odian Grayson discovered in a ruin located between the borders of the Sky and Greenfield Empire a few years ago. The ruins were sealed off with restrictive spells that could kill a saint emperor with little to no effort whatsoever. General Odian was of the saint general realm, so it was with great luck and fortune that he discovered the life saving the treasure within the ruins because of some unknown phenomenon that caused the restrictive spells to disappear for a short period.

The roots of the green tree shook and turned into ash as the tree itself started to wither up. Its power source was used up and without anyone to sustain it, it would just turn into ash and disappear. As general Mich Son watched the unfolding events, a determined light flashed in his eyes, but while lost in thought, he could suddenly felt a scorching heatwave rushing towards him from his back. With a bodily martial skill, he sidestepped, leaving three image clones of himself. Only to reappear sixty meters away from where he was previously standing

The evasion of the heatwave was far from a close one. If he was any slower in his reactions and didn't have a powerful bodily martial skill which gave him a short and intense outburst of speed within an instant, he would've been burnt alive. He then looked up and saw that the sudden outburst of heat came from a purple whirlwind of raging flames.

"To think that they have driven us to this stay, those bastards"

Mich Son gritted his teeth as he watches the back and forth movements of the purple flame and the ash ice flame. He then started to look around the battlefield, noticing that the condition of his men was much poorer than those of the Sky Empire. With a light sigh, he could only press onwards.

Purple lights filled the skies as the purple whirlwind of profound flames increased its rotational speed. The ash ice flames suddenly closed all its petals and a blue beam of light shot out of its center and up into the sky to collide with the purple light the was bolting out the skies. The atmosphere once again became chaotic as bone-chilling coldness and burning heat invaded the atmosphere

"Raaahaa"

"Boom Boom"

Roaring sounds and loud explosions could be heard as the purple and blue lights collided. The pressure in the surroundings increased at an astonishing level. The warriors on the ground coughed up mouths full of blood while some of the weaker ones collapsed. The Qi in heaven and earth could be seen rushing towards the two attacks as the need for energy increased at an alarming rate. The images of both sides had cold sweats running down their foreheads as exhaustion could be seen written all over their faces.

"They're going to do it"

Murmured Odian Grayson as he watched and predicted the outcome of the battle between the purple night flame and the ash ice flame, his attention wasn't solely focused on the attacks itself of the two abilities, but the twelve people who were in the dead center of the two. It was clear to him that the two parties were exhausted to the extreme and no large amount of energy replenishing pills would do them any good either, due to the state that they were in.

"N...n... no, don't do it" shouted Mich Son as he too understood where the proceedings of the battle was heading.

A bright light flashed in the eyes of the beautiful ice mage, she turned her head around and looked at her general who she had served for many years. Nothing could express the pain and joy she felt in her heart, both towards her general and her people. She then smiled warmly at him

"It's OK general, this is our choice. We will do anything to save our people,"

 Stated the beautiful ice mage, the minute those words left her mouth, general Mich felt a deep and unspeakable pain in his heart. His eyes became misty and with a slight nod, the beautiful ice mage turns her head back around.

"This was truly unexpected. These people are truly troublesome, but they will still lose this battle no matter what"

Stated the six fire mages, their eyes glowing with a bright purple light as they changed through various hand symbols, the purple and blue lights in the sky suddenly got intense. The clouds rolled about in the air and broke apart. The winds cried like wild wolves as the trees swayed back and forth frantically with the constant increase in pressure.

The ground shook and cracked. It was then made clear to the warriors on the battlefield that something big was about to happen. What it was; they did not know. With this sudden development by the two forces, the whole battlefield was thrown into complete silence.

The twelve mages faced off against each other without regrets and with determination roaring in their eyes. It was at this point that the ash ice flame which was the ice lotus flower suddenly changed its shape, as did the purple night flame. The ash ice flame turned into a transparent flowing river, its aura multiplied by ten folds as its majestic flowing waters spread across the skies. Following this turn of events, the freezing temperature in the surrounding areas started to drop at an increasing rate.

The purple night flames shook and transformed into a raging sea of flames that spread across the skies. The aura and the pressure it gave off was much more terrifying than that of the translucent river, with volcanic temperatures rising from the ground into the air.

"Ice rules over the world, freeze the heart and the soul, North Pole Domain"

"Everything shall turn to ash, the underworld is awakened once more, Grimm Fire Domain"

"BOOOOMMMM"

The ground below the ash ice translucent river instantly turned into ice, the atmosphere around it froze in place and the Qi in heaven and earth stood still, ripples of cold air currents burst outwards ruthlessly as if it wanted to freeze over the world itself. Anyone who was caught in the current inside of the domain would freeze on the spot and die instantly, there was no stopping it and there was no running away from it either.

The purple seas of ragging flames were tyrannical, it bolted out the whole sky, and everything around it was destroyed, including the air itself. The Qi in heaven and earth was burned. The atmosphere collapsed and the ground turned to molten lava. The heat that came from the Grimm fire domain was devastating, if came into contact, it would burn a person to charcoal. Half of the sky was painted with a purple light that could burn the soul, its flames felt like it came from the underworld itself while the other half of the sky was painted blue, in that area, bone-chilling coldness invaded the hearts of everyone who looked at it as if the North Pole was descending from the very skies itself, heaven and earth shoot frantically.

"....."

"Impossible, the... th... They did it..."

"No way, how is this possible?"

"It's a domain, it's actually a domain"

"Such power, it's amazing"

"....."

The warriors on the battlefield were shocked, baffled at what was in front of their eyes at this very moment. Astonishment was written all over their faces. For most of them, it was the first time seeing a domain being opened. The battle powers that it possessed were far beyond their wildest dreams and expectations. It was both exciting and terrifying at the same time but to them, one thing was for sure and it was that the battle was going to take a turn for the worse.

On the great continent of Sara, persons who could open domains were considered as rare and powerful elite warriors that only great sects, clans, and empires could produce. To produce these elite warriors, these big powers would waste no small amount of resources to ensure their growth because they were considered the backbone of the clan, sect, or empire. They were existences that could destroy a mountain and spilled seas with the wave of their hands or the flip of a palm.

This was so because in order to open a domain, one would first need to have entered into the saint king realm. Due to a large amount of pure Qi that was needed to sustain the domain and to ensure that the body and the Qi realm doesn't collapse, which would cripple the person or person cultivation base or bases or in worse cases, death.

It was with great effort that the twelve mages both fire and ice forcefully opened a domain with their combined powers, if it was for the hope and survival of their people and they aim to ensure victor by both sides, they wouldn't have opened it. The two sides knew the consequences of a forced opened domain but they still chose otherwise.

"Boom Boom"

"Woohhh wooohhh"

Raging balls of large Meteor showers came crashing down from the skies of the Grimm fire domain. Balls of murderous purple fires crashed into the ground and broke apart sending fragments flying everywhere. Large masses of meteorites shot towards the blue skies of ice in an attempt to destroy it. The sea of roaring flames roared as three-four hundred meters high whirlwind of purple flames came into being and shot towards the North Pole domain.

Suddenly, a snowstorm started falling from the blue skies. It was impossible to see what was happening inside the domain as the ground was split by a powerful blizzard. Ice spikes and shards, thirty meters long, and six-meter thick where sent fling towards the Grimm fire domain. The pressure of the two attacks was truly terrifying to the extreme. The unlucky warriors who were caught it the middle of the crossfire instantly died, while others were killed by the broken fragments of the meteorites that crashed into the ground.

Horrible shrieks, akin to the sounds of pigs being slaughtered constantly rang out across the front lines as men and women died. The ice spikes and shards collided into the meteorites and raging whirlwinds

"Boom boom boom"

Loud explosions could be heard coming from the fearsome attacks of the domains, heat and ice waves of extraordinary magnitudes blasted outwards at the point of impact. Ripples of fire and ice destroyed the air and the ground below started to break apart and collapse. The pressures exhibited by the domains were like mountains upon mountains of battle energy crashing down on the heads of the warriors on the front lines.

"Purple crystal shield"

"Dragon earth barrier"

As the miserable shrieks rang out of the mouths of the dying warriors, bright lights of purple and brown shot from the ground and into the sky. These lights weren't as bright as the ones made by the two domains nor were there might that powerful and pressuring either, but as they came into being, a barrier made of dragon skin and earth raised from the ground to surround the Green Field Empire's army. As this happened, a purple crystal formation circled the Sky empire's army and created a bright purple shield around them.
