Formations, The Exam Begins

Strong Qi rippled outwards through the transportation formation door, the faces of everyone showed signs of shock but also signs of excitement as well. To most, it was the first time seeing such a formation or even hearing of such things. In the martial world, there are many martial paths to follow, even being a formation master is one of them.
To create any formation, one must first need to have a strong soul force and a vase knowledge of formation laws and methods, seals and concepts of formations. There are also some martial artists who only study the path of formations and not the full path of the martial way, they would often neglect their Cultivation practices and only practice their soul force to increase it using soul force Cultivation methods. Formations can also be used for other things other than transportations such as defense formations, offensive formations, formations which enables a martial artist/cultivator to fully connect with their weapons and increase its use in battle.

After all the amount of resources that I would need to break through is really heart breaking". Jia Lin was endlessly thinking of ways to get a lot of resources which would help him to make a breakthrough, at first he wasn't entertaining the idea of gathering such resources at such a martial school but looking at this formation door, maybe it was possible.
"Everyone, listen up" shouted one of the elders that wearing a green robe behind head master Qin Long to the crowds of people. This elders aura was at the 9th level of the Earth realm and just needed a single step to cross that unshakable bride into the spirit awakening realm. But that unshakable bridge was like a needle wishing to fight back against a long sword due to his old age. The elder then continued on to saying!
"The minute you step through this door the examination will begin. The first exam will be the movement test and not the strength test, head master Qin as given me the oder to change the rules a little to however I want to" the elder in the green robe wore a small smile on his face, it was not a smile that said he wanted to see everyone fail but quite the opposite.
To him, the reason why he choose movement abilities as the first test is because when most martial artist are in a sticky situation, most of the time strength isn't everything and they could still die. But if one knew how to avid certain obstacles and dangers or even when facing a life and death situation they would be able to escape, thus the need for good control over ones movements and flexibility is a must.
The elder in the green robes wasn't expecting these young martial artist to have a extremely good movement skill or to have a vase knowledge of how to properly use a movement skill but he just wanted to see how well they could do with their small amount of knowledge. By doing this, the elders can have a good idea of the areas that they would have to help improve the new disciples on and this would also be apart of their test sores which will give the final rankings.
"As you step through this door, you will be transported to the base of a mountain, as to which mountain this is you will only know once you enter into the school as a disciple. The school is at the top of the mountain, you have exactly two hours to reach the top of the mountain which is filled with hide obstacles"
"Now enter and lets begin" said head master Qin Long as he entered through the transportation formation door. And as he did so did the rest of the elders and young martial artist. Seeing everyone hurrying to go through the door only made Jia Lin shook his head, after all its only when a person steps through the door does the examination finally begins. So Even if everyone hurries in and tries to start before others, that will only be their time and not others.
A black shadow rushed through the crowds of people and into Jia Lin's robes at a blinding speed, there was no sound of it nor any wind though to it's speed. Even though the entrance room was packed with young martial artist, one saw what happened. This black shadow that rushed into Jia Lin's robes was none other than little demon himself, who had transformed into a little wolf the size of a palm. This kid of transformation technique was something that Jia Lin had picked up in the time of his travels in the domain, it could make ones traveling companion reduce it's size for traveling purposes. Because it was known that, some profound beast could grow up to hundreds of feet thus when their masters needed to have them in a tight fitting space, this kind of body adjusting technique was created and proven to be really useful over the years by many masters.
"Good boy. Stay down until I tell you to come out" said Jia Lin while patting his robe front. The crowds of people were getting less and less and so it was Jia Lin's turn to enter the through transportation formation door. "Heaven class here I come" Jia Lin approached the black door with slow steps, he wanted to get a good look at the formation formula or to even get a small insight an the law that governs it.
As he got closer, he could sense a profound law within the formation, as if the door was made of ancient martial or if not, the amount of soul force that one would require to create it was monstrous. The door was pitch black all over but if one paid close attention, they would see that deep within the blackness of the door were strange symbols moving around in a strange fashion. At times the door would even seem like on illusion and other times real, this type of transportation formation door wasn't new to Jia Lin but in his time he hadn't really paid much attention to formations and there uses but now maybe he would.
"I wonder what would be the benefits of studying formations. Though it will be extremely hard for me to study both Cultivation and formations, I will give it my all if I have to" thought Jiang with a burning passion for the new road ahead of him. He then steeled himself and stepped through the formation door and as he did, his body was twisted in a strange fashion which made his mind buzz.
It wasn't painful in any way but the feeling of it made one dizzy. The feeling only lasts for a few moments before Jia Lin was transported to the base of a large mountain that was shooting up into to the thick white clouds. The base of the mountain was a large forest that was filled with thick and pure heaven and earth Qi, the trees were thick and if one looked close enough they would see a marble stone road leading up to the top of the mountain.
The mountain was huge and was releasing a strong pressure as if it looked down on all things that we're mortal. "Good mountain" Jia Lin praised in his heart. "Two hours to get up the mountain, they don't really expect us to really make it up there do they," said the pale face youth to the money face youth and Nix who was still frowning. It could be seen that they were still displeased with the events that had happened outside of the martial school building. "I don't know but we must try. I will be stepping into the heavens class soon if you guys want to make it too then follow my lead"
Though Nix was at the 8th level of the Saint realm, his confidence in his movement speed was good. When one's Cultivation was higher, one would naturally be much stronger and faster than a person with a lower Cultivation base but this monkey and pale face youth had faith in Nix, so they tagged along without saying a single word. With a wave of his hand, Nix dashed up the mountain with the monkey and pale face youths behind him.
