Lin Fren's Favor

A new way, a new path, this is Jia Lin's new Road to travel. As of this moment, Jia Lin and little Demon was in an empty world with only white spaces around them. His mind was calm but his and Little Demon's eyes radiated with a brutal glow, his aura was at the ninth level of the Saint Realm, while Little Demon was at the first level of the Earth realm.

Though the difference in battle powers sounded far apart, it was in fact quite the opposite. Jia Lin's meridians were three times that of normal persons thus his battle powers were also shocking to the extreme. Not to mention the number of resources that he would need when it came time to break through into the next realm. During the Mist trials, Jia Lin was unknowingly blessed with the Divine Tyrannical meridians which enabled him to possess great strength, but also the need for a shocking amount of resources.

"This path which you have been given is a mysterious one that is filled with many good fortunes and also bad. When one is stronger than others, he will sometimes be feared by many but also loved. There will also be persons who will wish to destroy what you have, so keep your head up and be like a mountain"

At this point in time, the voice in the Mist world which was now an empty white space sounded out. As it did, the world trembled as Jia Lin and little Demon was sucked into a mists door that suddenly appeared before them. They had no time to react, the door suddenly appeared and disappeared within the blink of on eye without them even know of it, Jia Lin and little Demon was now standing in front of a tall tree inside of the Mystic forest.

"Haha, you made it" chuckled Lin Fren as his mists figured once again appeared out of thin air. As he appeared, a small smile broke out on Jia Lin's young face as he bowed to Lin Fren "Thank you very much for the opportunity of entering the Mists Trials. If it wasn't for you..." Jia Lin's face was flushed red while speaking but before he could get to finish what he was saying, he was suddenly stopped by Lin Fren with a proud and excited smile. "Don't thank me just yet, if you can make it to the domain in one thousand years, there's something I would like for you to do for me"

Lin Fren replied with a weird smile. Seeing his smile didn't bother Jia Lin or did what he said provoked a reaction from him either, this was because he had somewhat expected to hear something of this nature. Without even thinking about it, Jia Lin nods his head with an equal smile because the time when he would need to pay back this favor was a thousand years from now.

Jia Lin wasn't the type of person to forget a favor and he would always repay his debts no matter what. He was also a person who didn't really like talking, so the majority of the conversation was spoken by Lin Fren. As he was listening to Lin Fren he didn't ask what the favor was because the time for it hadn't come yet.

Maybe Lin Fren was a bad person, maybe he wasn't, but the only thing Jia Lin knew was that he had helped him out a lot and he would likewise return the favor. "Here, I got these from some of my good friends a couple of days back," said Lin Fren while he was speaking, pure white mists rose up from out of the ground in a sphere shape. Within the sphere could be seen as a silver map and a green jade sword.

"I don't know if you will need a sword on you're path to cultivation but there is more than one way. Also, this map is marked with the locations of some unknown treasures, even I don't know what it is" stated Lin Fren as the Mist sphere came to float in front of Lin. "As you grow, you can also use this map to travel the surrounding landscapes while also seeking good fortune" seeing the jade sword and silver map inside the Mists sphere made Jia Lin surprised once more, this was because just by looking at this map he could instantly tell that it was a very important treasure. Not to mention the jade sword that was releasing a strong sword force which made even his mind go numb

"You are giving me these things, but why," asked Jia Lin with a calm voice. Little Demon was standing beside him with its eyes glued to Lin Fren but even now and then it would look in the deep regions of the forest as if it wished to go test out its strength as soon as possible. Lin Fren also took notice of little Demon and smiled, he could somewhat guess what the little fellow must be thinking and just shook his head. "I'm giving these to you as a present for passing the trials by fire. Even more so, I want you to get stronger and stronger thus this treasure map is yours"

The jade sword and silver map floated down in Jia Lin's hand which he accepted without any complaints. The reason was that he was new to this time and place, he was somewhat also without any money or resources, so to turn down these gifts would be too crazy of a thing to do. "Many thanks, senior Lin Fren," said Jia Lin as kept the things. After seeing that Jia Lin accepted the gifts without any objections made Lin Fren smiled even more.

Afterward, he then threw a black ring towards Jia Lin and said, "I have refined this space ring for you from that bag you were carrying around with you. I must say, it's really a rare find to have such a thing on you" Jia Lin caught the black ring and looked at it closely for a while before turning his attention back towards Lin Fren "what's so rare about it, after all, it's just a simple bag that I use to store goods in" stated Jia Lin with a complicated gaze.

This storage bag was given to him by Fen Gou so he didn't think that it would be something that special. At first, he had some ideas regarding the rarity of the bag but now that Lin Fren had also said that it was a rare find, his suspicions regarding the bag had increased a bit. "Oh, so it's like that. You don't know what it is haha. Well then in time you will, so don't wander too much" chuckled Lin Fren with a wired smile. Jia Lin thought nothing of it as he placed the ring on his finger and stored the jade sword and map.

At the time when Jia Lin had received his new martial way and saw that within one of the new techniques he was given, was a sword technique, he was wondering where could he get a good sword because he was jet broke. It wasn't just a sword he was endlessly thinking about, he was also thinking about cultivation resources that would enable him to rise in power because of the number of resources he would need to cultivate had unexpectedly tripped. Within some of those resources needed were rare herbs, medicinal pills, and other such cultivation resources.

But now he had unexpectedly gotten one of the things he was endlessly thinking about while in the empty space which was the Mists trial grounds. He had gotten a jade sword which was releasing a strong sword aura and its sharpness and toughness was shocking. "It's been three whole months since you've been inside this forest, now it's time for you to go," said Lin Fren as his warm smile faded away, before Jia Lin could even offer his thanks once more, his vision blurred with white mists.

After a few breaths of time, Jia Lin shockingly found that he was outside of the Mystic forest and wad near the border of Mou city. Little Demon was standing beside him with an equal shocking expression, it could be seen that it too didn't even realize what had happened until it had happened. "This guy is really something else" murmured Jia Lin as he turned to look back at the Mystic forest for the last time and as he did, he saw that the yin Qi energy inside the forest surged up once more but with even shocking brutality than any other time.

Jia Lin's robe was in pieces and he was feeling extremely exhausted. His eyes were foggy and he desperately needed to rest his body, little Demon who stayed silent the entire time finally spoke up again. "What Shall we do now. I'm feeling very tired and I need to rest" no words came from Little demon's mouth but it's words sounded out inside of Jia Lin's mind like it was his own thought he was hearing.
