The Mystic Forest

Jia Lin was in the mansion looking around, his facial expression calm, he walked to and from until he found a servant lady cleaning a window. He then walked up to the lady and said 

"Excuse me, ma'am, the young master said that you should give me some buns and meat from the kitchen with two suits of his clothes," said Jia Lin with a serious look, the maid was taken aback by this and stopped what she was doing.

Soon after She then gave Jia Lin a deep look then proceed towards the kitchen without a word, after a few minutes of waiting, the maid returned with a small bag filled with buns and meat which Jia Lin didn't expect and some clothes. To Jia Lin's surprise, the maid had actually met with the young master of the house Fen Gou on the way to the kitchen but he was still busy to come and see Jia Lin.

"The young master said that he will be busy for the next couple of days, he sent this bag of buns and meat, clothes and two silver coins" stated the maid while handing over the things to Jia Lin.

"Two silvers" the currency in the ancient Era was copper, silver, and gold and Jia Lin had just gotten here and were without any source of founds. It was a good thing that he actually ran into Fen Gou who actually turned around and helped him out in this matter, he collected up the stuff and bowed to the maid, which in turn bowed back. 

"This guy is really something else," he said "tell the young master that I will be heading out and in the future, I will be sure to return the favor that he had shown me," said Jia Lin to the maidservant.

After saying what he had to, he turned and left the mansion. Jia Lin was the type of person who would always show kindness to those who showed him, though he was a person who lived for many years, he still knew a good person when he was one. Jia Lin walk for half on hour before entering back into the city while walking he did a lot of window shopping, there he saw many pill shops and black Smith shops around the city, food shops were also in a large number as well.

In the time that Jia Lin was on immortal of the domain, he knew many things about pills and also how to concoct them, one could say that he was somewhat an alchemist master in his time. The pills he saw were also some pretty good ones but they didn't really catch his eye, the majority of the pills were all low-quality ones with a hand full bring of mid-quality.

"Qi replenishing pills here, just four hundred copper coins"

"Bun for sale, ten buns for nine copper coins"

"Get your very first dagger or long sword here, cheap cheap"

The city was abuzz with many different vendors shouting many different things, the city was lively as ever. Jia Lin continued to walk till he reached outside the city's gate and headed back into the forest late in the night. On his back was a small bag which contained his buns, meat, and clothes, while walking in the direction of the mystic forest, numerous gazes fell on his young face 

"Where is he going"

"His he crazy, he's looking to die"

"He's heading into the mystic forest, another one of them huh"

As Jia Lin was walking in the direction of the mystic forest, he could hear many comments towards him but he didn't pay any attention to any of them, he just kept on walking. The moon was especially bright tonight releasing a chill in the air, his aura of the third level of the Saint realm vibrated around his body as he started running, his movements weren't that fast but was sufficient enough to reduce the time of him walking.

The mystic forest was filled with tall trees and stones, though the moon was shining very bright tonight, inside of the forest was still very dark. Jia Lin rushed into the forest, jumping from tree branch to tree branch, on the ground could be seen many profound beasts walking to and from, looking for their next meal. The auras of these profound beast weren't that strong, the strongest was at the fourth and half step towards the fifth saint level.

But Jia Lin was at the third saint realm and his strength wasn't enough to contend against these types of beasts, so he decided to use the trees as his means of travel as well as staying hidden. Whenever Jia Lin saw a saint beasts that was a half step towards the fifth level of the Saint realm, he would always stop and take cover high up with a tree and didn't make any movements or sounds. 

"This place is filled with so many creatures, it amazing, later we'll see which one of us tastes better" the young man chuckled as he hides under a big bushy tree.

After he hid, he did move for the rest of the night, after the profound beasts moved on, he took out two buns and a piece of meat from his bag and began to eat, he had no water so he had to make due. Numerous roars and howls sounded out inside the forest, Jia Lin was somewhat fearful because he senses the aura of a fifth level beast but it didn't come his way, due to this, his guard was up even higher. The tree that he was on was a large one so he had space to take a rest, he looked around his surroundings to make sure nothing looked out of the ordinary and then empty his buns and meat out and put the bag at his head to take a little nap.

The night passed swiftly and soon it was morning again. Jia Lin's body was fully rested and his energy and body were in tip-top shape and condition, he then proceeds to pack up the rest of his buns and meat after eating a few and descended the large tree, today he wanted to start his training. Jia Lin was walking in the forest, heading into the deeper regions searching for a water source, without water, it would be a waste of time thinking about starting to train.

"There's got to be a river around here somewhere" 

He murmured, after a few minutes of walking, Jia Lin spotted a profound beast, it was a two-headed wolf with black fur, walking slowly towards the east, clearly, he was heading towards something. Seeing this, Jia Lin took cover under some bushes and slowly began to follow it, half on hour passed by and soon the two-headed wolf stopped in front of a small river which looks more like a stream.

The waters of the stream were extremely clear and clean, this was due to the fact that only beasts lived in the Mystic forest and not humans, so getting it polluted was a very hard thing to do. Seeing the stream Jia Lin was happy, he watched the two-headed wolf for a while, keeping his aura down while still staying at a large distance away from the wolf. 

"I've made it this far, my strength is so weak and I can't afford to die now," he thought to himself, the chirping of birds sounded out inside the forest, the suns rays when touching the skin released a warm sensation which made Jia Lin feel comfortable.

The Mystic forest to Jia Lin was a mysterious place, to others they wouldn't find it to be too mysterious but Jiain was different. "at nights, the yin energy inside the forest raises to a great degree, while during the day the Yan energy rises also, just what is this place" 

Other than the large numbers of dangerous profound beasts, the Mystic forest also hides other mysteries, maybe other powerful experts also found this out, but to the looks of things, to this date, they still didn't know what was causing it.

Jia Lin backed away from the stream, he was in no hurry to start practicing without getting a few things done. The sun was high in the sky and not many beasts were out as they were in the nights, so Jia Lin easily avoided them by using the trees as cover. He went back into the city where he purchased some ropes, a few more buns and meats, a water container and a dagger at a cost of six hundred coppers, to Jia Lin the price was somewhat high but he was new to this place and his face looked young so he didn't say anything and just paid the vendor and took his leave back toward the forest.

"I'll get you for this, you son of b***H" he cursed the vendor in his heart for being so hard on him, right now he only hands one silver and four hundred copper coins 

"So much for some ropes, buns, meats, and a small dagger, ugh that guy" 

In actuality, the dagger that Jia Lin purchased actually cost three hundred and fifty copper coins and the rest went towards the many ropes, buns, portions of meat and water bottle that he bought, the material and work put into making the dagger was what made the dagger cost so much but it could be seen that Jia Lin was a very cheap person and didn't like to spend money.
