Emerald Pov
Nova asks me to join her for a walk in the garden. We follow the path down to the flower beds and around the corner to the little water feature. She finally stops and sits on the bench.
I sit beside her and wait patiently for her to start talking. I can see she is nervous and wants to say something.
“Is he okay?” She finally asks without looking my way.
“Arlo? Yes he’s fine. Much better since he started to see you again.” I tell her honestly.
Arlo has been a lot more cheerful and so has Jada.
I look over at her as she pauses and I notice she is chewing on her lip and screwing her hands together in her lap.
“What is it?” I ask Nova.
“I kissed him,” she says but doesn’t look at me.
“I know, before he woke up?” I ask confused. Arlo didn’t mention anything.
“Yes
