The sound of our footsteps is all that can be heard. Arlo made a point of having the elders shown to the throne room before we would enter.
‘A show of power’ is what he said.
Now we are dressed in the official royal robes (we look like morons) and making our way to the throne room. Arlo is in front, his robe a dark blue. It’s train dragging behind and he is wearing his official crown. He doesn’t wear it very often so it looks a little strange.
‘It’s not strange’ Jamie disagrees.
My robe is a blood red colour, indicating that I am royal by blood. Whereas Elijah’s is a maroon colour as he was mated into the bloodline.
Lincoln walks just behind us and does not have a robe on.
We finally make it the throne room and some guy announces Arlo.
