“This is absurd. Neither of us are rejecting our mate because some old men said so,” I tell Arlo firmly.
“It’s not your decision Em,” Arlo reminds me. “I will reject Raven but I will not be mating with his daughter.”
“Then who?” I ask with frustration. “You shouldn’t have to give up your mate Arlo.”
“Honestly Em, we aren’t exactly on the best terms. I wouldn’t expect you to give up two mates who love you. Mine however, she does not.” He shrugs like he is resolved to the fact.
