As I lay in his muscular arms, the comfort of his chest enveloped me. "It's late, and your friends are gone. Let's get a hotel room," he said as he suggested, guiding me through the quiet streets. The only sounds were distant cars and flickering streetlights. Finally, we spotted a cozy hotel. Upon entering, the welcoming aroma of room spray enveloped us. Caden approached the reception, holding me tight. "We're exhausted. We need a room, please," he said, forcing a smile. "How many, sir?" the receptionist asked. "Two rooms, please," Caden replied. The receptionist checked his computer. "Sorry, sir. Only one room is available." Caden's eyes met mine, a hint of disappointment. "Okay, we'll take it," he said. My heart skipped a beat. Me and Caden in the same room? The receptionist's knowing looks made me pretend to fall asleep. In the executive room, royal decorations surrounded us. Caden gently tossed me onto the bed and sat in a chair, looking tired. "Hey, young man, be gentle. This isn't a log of wood," I teased, rolling my eyes. Caden raised an eyebrow. "Pretending to sleep wasn't the best plan. You could've made things easier to begin awake." He pulled off his shirt, revealing his muscular physique. "Hey, young man, what are you doing?" I asked, looking away. "You reek of alcohol. Can't sleep with that smell," he said, sniffing his shirt. "What about you? Aren't you drunk?" I asked angrily. Caden chuckled. "I'm sober enough. Go shower and change." I said, pouting his lips. His eyes locked onto mine, as he asked. "Afraid you might fall for this sexy body?" My cheeks flushed. He approached me, gently removing my hands from my face. "You must see this sexy body," he said, teasing, his eyes sparkling. I couldn't help but stare at his muscular physique and flawless skin. "Now, I'll take that bath," he said, releasing my wrist. But I remained transfixed, my mind racing with desire. "Hey, don't eat me up," he said as he joked, covering himself. As he turned to leave, I grasped his trousers. "Where do you think you're going? You can't tease me and run," I said in a husky voice. Without a word, he broke free and headed to the bathroom. I followed, my injured leg forgotten. As I caught up, we tumbled onto the bed, facing each other. I couldn't resist his lips, and our kiss deepened. He pulled away, but I couldn't get enough. I claimed his lips again, surrendering to the passion. This time, he yielded. That night was unforgettable. Morning dawned, and I woke, feeling renewed. Caden slept beside me, his muscular body inviting. I traced his chest line with one finger. "Oh, Caden, I wish we could stay like this forever," I said. His eyes fluttered open. "Forever what do you mean by that? ," he asked as he whispered. Before I could respond, Caden drifted off to sleep, peaceful as a baby. I rose from bed, stretching my limbs, when a knock at the door broke the silence. I opened it to find the hotel receptionist standing with a warm smile. "Good morning! I brought breakfast," he said, holding a tray. I took the tray, inhaling the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and baked goods. "Thank you," I said, returning his smile. The receptionist nodded. "Enjoy your meal. If you need anything, dial zero." As he turned to leave, I called out, "Excuse me." "Yes?" He replied. "What's the check-out time?" I asked. "noon, ma." He said I nodded in appreciation. "Thanks." With the receptionist gone, I turned to Caden. He still slept, serene and handsome. I placed the tray on the bedside table. Should I wake him or let him sleep? I placed the tray on the bedside table. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee and baked goods filled the room. I poured myself a cup of coffee. Added sugar, stirred, and took a sip. Bliss. The warmth spread through my chilled body. I sat beside Caden and watched his sleep. His chest rose and fell. I traced his jawline softly. Not wanting to wake him. My fingers stood on his lips. I remembered last night. Our passion and our connection. My heart fluttered. I pulled my hand back. Looked away. Focused on my coffee. Took another sip. The silence was comfortable. Caden's steady breathing. My gentle sips. The morning light creeps through the curtains, golden and warm. Suddenly, Caden's phone rang. Shattering the calm. I froze as Caden turned but didn't wake up. The phone rang again. I hesitated but curiosity won. I picked it up. "Hey, babe," a female voice said. My heart sank. After a brief silence, the call ended. I couldn't shake off the feeling of unease. The female voice lingered in my mind. Who was she? And what did she mean to Caden? I looked at Caden, still peacefully asleep. My heart ached. I didn't want to wake him. But I couldn't stay. Not after that call. I quietly gathered my belongings. My injured foot protested as I stood. I winced. Caden turn. I froze. But he settled back into sleep. I took a deep breath. And slipped out to the bathroom. The bathroom hallway felt cold. Empty. I made my way to the shower, washing my head to cool off my headache. Pressed the button to switch off the water. I exhaled. My mind reeled. What had I gotten myself into? Caden's charm. His wealth. His seductive smile. But the call was a reality check and I couldn't compete. Didn't want to. I stepped out of the bathroom as the morning light shone bright on my face. The city awakened and was alive. My thoughts wallowed with regrets and doubts together with uncertainty. I picked up the phone again, determined to unlock it. But the password screen stared back, taunting me. I tried various combinations, but none worked. Frustration crept in. "Don't I look foolish now?" I said in a whisper, shaking my head. Suddenly Caden turned, trying to open his eyes.
