  Elwyn's POV   Dennis looked up at me with a mix of satisfaction and concern. "You have to keep your word, okay?" he said in the tone of an old man reminding his grandchildren to be careful.   I bent down and gently pinched his cheek. "I'll keep my word, my little old man."   Dennis giggled, but quickly regained his serious composure. "And don't forget, I have a swimming lesson tomorrow. You have to take me early, don't let me be late."   I nodded, pride swelling in my chest as I looked at my son, who had grown enough to remind his mother of important things. "I won't forget. Don't worry."   Suddenly, Dennis ran toward the window, his eyes widening as if he'd just discovered something exciting, his face lighting up. "Jackie!" Dennis shouted, waving enthusiastically through the glass.
