Once upon a time, in the small coastal town of Bodega, California, lived a lively girl named Maddie. Across the ocean in London, there lived a boy named Simeon. Both were known for their naughty, chaotic personalities and their love for fun and mischief.
Simeon was 18 years old, and Maddie was 17. Fate brought them together when Simeon’s family moved from London to Bodega. Everything was new for him—the town, the people, and especially Maddie. They were complete strangers at first.
Out of curiosity and just for fun, both of them joined a local kindergarten school as teen volunteers, helping the younger kids while enjoying themselves. That’s where their friendship began.
At first, they teased each other, joked around, and caused harmless trouble together. Slowly, their bond grew stronger. What started as friendship soon turned into something deeper. Simeon realized he had fallen in love with Maddie. He began to express his feelings openly, though in his playful way.
Maddie tried to ignore it at first, but over time, she too found herself falling for Simeon. His smile, his accent, his care—it all made her heart soften.
As Christmas approached, the town prepared for its annual Christmas carnival, full of lights, music, and laughter. Simeon knew this was the moment. He wanted to make it special—something Maddie would never forget.
On the night of the carnival, under glowing fairy lights and falling snowflakes, Simeon brought out a small box. Inside was a delicate silver anklet.
He gently held Maddie’s hand and asked her if he could put it on her. With a shy smile and a racing heart, she nodded.
As he placed the anklet around her ankle, he looked up at her and finally said the words he had been holding inside for so long:
“Maddie, will you be mine?”
And in that magical moment, surrounded by music, lights, and winter air, their hidden love was no longer hidden. It had finally found its way into the open.
