Testing the Effects

Notice: The 300 year old plum has successfully consumed. Absorbing the effects of the plum. Mana pool successfully widened and initiating muscle enhancement. Muscle enhancement complete.

The system alerts Kris after meditating for a while. By the time he opens his eyes, he can sense the mana around him. [To think that the effect of the 300 year old plum is this much. My body immediately felt like I have trained for two years.] he thinks to himself and then turns to Johannes’ bed and sees that it’s empty.

               “Did he go out?” Kris wonders and sees that Johannes still haven’t taken  a bite at his plum as it sits inside the beside his table. [Take your time Johannes, no one is rushing you.] Kris scoffs and sighs but then had an idea what to do in the mean time. “Let’s see how much my mana have grown.” Kris smiles and walks out of their room after hiding the plum under Johannes’ bed before anyone could get an idea and snatch it away from his friend.

               “Are you sure that we should follow him?” a mysterious student ask the other one beside him who immediately reminds him of the task that was given to them. “Have you already forgotten what Flora told us? She specifically asked us to watch him for a while. Remaining unseen would be great but it would be hard to hide our presence if you act like that all the time. By doing so you look a lot more suspicious.” The other one added and feels ashamed and embarrassed about what they are doing.

               Without arguing any further, both of them slowly followed where Kris was headed and to their surprise, he entered the training area. “What is he planning to do?” the other student ask his companion but neither of them had the idea what Kris plans to do so they are forced to enter the training area as well but did see Kris inside. “Where did he go?”  all of the sudden they hear the sound of punching which surprised them. [Huh? But the gym is rarely used.] the other student says to himself as they make their way to the other side of the training area where the training equipments are.

               BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM! c***k! c***k! c***k! c***k! BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM! CRUMBLE!

               The two students are shocked to see that Kris is able to bust the wooden dummy down with his bare hands. [What the hell is with that strength? Did he perhaps used a strengthening spell?] one of them thinks to himself while the other one marvels at the strength that Kris showed. They then remembered that they should watch Kris and act as if they are training themselves as well.

               Notice: Two subject have been following since you left your room. They are acting as if they are training but they are secretly observing you. Conclusion: You have taken someone’s interest. Possible subjects, Flora Flames and the headmaster. Current  subjects are followers of Flora Flames.

               The system alerts Kris but he is too busy testing his strength that he did not notice the system speaking to him. [There is no need to tell me that system-kun. Their actions are far too obvious not to be noticed. Flora is that kind of person from the very beginning. So it’s to be expected that she would ask some person to monitor me for a while.] he thinks to himself. Ignoring the fact that the two are Flora’s underlings and are task to observe him and just focused on his test.

               Kris enjoys his test while the other two are struggling in lifting the weighs. “What the heck is this? Why is it so heavy? Why would anyone want to lift this?” he tells himself but then his companion pointed out that the weighs are infused with spells that would adjust the weigh depending on the person. “You should be mindful of these things sometimes Ophir. You are strong but you are just as stupid. I start to wonder how is your family able to put up with your stupidity.” The other one says as she scoff at his companion.

The other one then pouts after hearing his companion’s discriminating words and carefully puts down the weigh to avoid dropping it on his feet. “Did you really have to say it like that? I may be stupid but I am still the academy’s rank 8.” He says to his companion who doesn’t look like he is interested in his flex. “That’s just strength, I bet you are in the lowest when it comes to intelligence.”

               Imaginary lightning sparks between the two as  hey stare at each other intensely. Unbeknownst to them, Kris pass them by without them noticing at all. [I wonder if those two really are following me. Flora would not ask some people as incompetent as them to do a certain task.] Kris thinks to himself but the system says otherwise. “Now, let’s test our spells-“ Kris says to himself when all of the sudden, a fire bolt entered his field of awareness and so dodged the spell right in the nick of time.

               [Thanks to the system and my enhanced mana sense that I was able to evade that,] Kris thinks to himself as he glance at the fire bolt that struck the ground ahead of him. “I don’t think I need to think deeply who made such a ridiculous attack. Am I right Mathos?”  Kris says as he turns to the entrance and see Mathos and his followers.
