Disappointed

Duke, Sarah, Kresha and the other students that were ordered to recruit other students by the organization have gathered in an inn after the competition is called for the day. They are sitting terribly stiff after seeing what happened today during the competition. “I hope you all know why I am like this.” One person hiding under the shadows said as they nodded their heads. The person then walk in the light and reveals himself as one of the teachers in the academy, Clarence Fright.

               “All of the other pillars that you will replace will be utterly disappointed if they learn of the things that happened today. Most of you have shown nothing but disappointment. If you can only see how your families left the arena earlier in embarrassment then you would know the weight of my words.” He then turns to Kresha who is the only one that had the standing of a win among all of them.

               “Everything was embarrassing especially you two, Duke and Sarah. You both lost embarrassingly in front of everyone against students from the lowest class. To be honest I want to punish you all but seeing that there was an executive watching the matches today, I will spare you all.” Their eyes shot up and widened after hearing what Clarence said. “What do you mean executive? I did no see one of them today.” Kresha responded after hearing that but Clarence did not speak anything nor react to her and just ignore her completely even thought she is evidently the strongest among her peers.

               “Rubic Flames was there, and he saw it all. You may or may not have see him but I felt his presence, and not just me. Everyone strong enough would be able to sniff his scent the moment he enters the arena and that means the ones who are opposing us also have learned of it as well. Tomorrow the security might get tighten due to that fact and he might not be able to see the upcoming fights. But there is one thing that is certain. He wants them badly.” Clarence said.

               Shocking everyone that’s before him. “By ‘them’ he means the people that we have failed to recruit?” Kresha ask and this time Clarence nod his head. “Yes, they are the ones that showed drastic strength are they not? As far as I can see and that executive have seen, all of the student in the lowest class can be an asset to the organization, especially after losing the ones we had in the western kingdom after the recent events.” Duke grit his teeth after he hears of this and had the hunch that they would want Kris and others so badly after seeing their performance in the competition.

               [That bastard- he embarrassed me through and through. I will definitely take him down. I do not want to be with the same organization as that bastard.] he thinks to himself but as he looks back, he saw Clarence looking at him as if he already knows what the young man is thinking and gently shakes his head fro left to right. Duke could do nothing but lower his head when Clarence gives him the fierce and unforgiving look.

               “But we have already tried recruiting them and they completely ignored and refused us, how will we be able to change their minds?” Sarah asked out of curiosity. “That is not a problem, all we need to do is to have audience with them like any other family that is using the competition for. We are going to use the families at out disposal to have them on our side. Surely there are people that they have been wanting to be with.” Clarence suggested as it was already decided by Rubi after getting the reports from him.

               Clarence then takes out a paper with all the families listed under their influence and at the bottom of the list lies a name that is partially the reason for him coming back in the past, Scifer family.

               “We are all now standing with wins, how are we going to beat them even if we want? Those bastards in our classes are dragging us down.” Flora complains as she turns to the others after drinking a glass of water. “What do you mean? Do everyone have to have a win so that we can secure the competition?” Ophir asks back while everyone stares at him blankly. “Aish! What the hell do we do now?!” he exclaims after only realizing it just now and buries his face under is palms.

               “So far Kris’ class is at the top of the food chain, I don’t want to admit this but the others showed drastic changes in their fighting style compared to when we sparred.” James admitted as Johannes shows his agreement. “Yeah, I wasn’t expecting much but they exceeded my expectations. Especially Luna, you easily defeated Sarah without breaking some sweat.” Johannes added but Luna did not take this seriously. “She was exceptionally weak. That is already given, there is no way someone that weak will beat me in terms of strength. There are only a few students that I am wary off and she is not definitely on my list.” Luna said sternly while glancing at them in intervals.

               “Yeah, there is no way Luna would lose that easily.  She even have the gull to freeze my balls, if she is not that confident in herself then what she did is questionable.” Kris protested  that what she did to him is wrong and that it is only natural for her enemy to be defeated due to her hidden identity that only a few knows. Luna immediately stare daggers at him while the others continue to eat, having had been used to the scene themselves.
