Chapter 3

The door revealed Mr. Winwood , the newspapers and magazines were filled with his pictures so it wasn't hard to identify him. He had sharp yet calm features. His deep brown-champagne eyes were cold as if never felt warmth and if you looked into them you'll definitely see a seductive and dangerous look .His jawline was sharp that it could cut through any object . His auburn hair was neatly brushed and raised into a quiff .

For max , Emma was more beautiful than the profile photo she enlisted with her resume . He preferred blondes most of the time but I Emma just shined with her dark raven hair. The soft waves cascaded down her back .It was like the night itself was grasping at her .Her lips were plum , full and they were just kissable and her chestnut eyes were just a whole new story .

Her right hand was raised and curled into a fist ready to knock ,she instantly dropped it and cleared her throat

"Mr. Winwood " she said in voice barely heard .

This wasn't the plan , she thought

Max opened the door wider and made a way for Emma to enter .As soon she stepped inside the room she was mesmerized , the office was wide and vast , gold and black were controlling colors. It was dark and warned danger .The furniture was mostly of leather , she didn't know if she was right but she smelt mystery in the air maybe because of the style of furniture or maybe because he just looked like one .

"Please take a seat " said max , cutting her thoughts

"Thank you "

" I think you already know why you are here so shall we start "he said after getting comfortable

Emma nodded slowly taking a deep breath , she needed this job and she was going to get it .

After 30 minutes......

" So that was the last question and let me tell you Miss. Kelter you managed to impress us with your wit and smartness .Congratulations because you got the job and regarding your position you'll be the administrator of our financial department , our HOD Mr. Arnold chickaild , will be supervising you until you are thorough with your work and you can start from tomorrow " he said while going through some papers .

Emma couldn't be any happier , she finally got the job of her dream and she'll finally be able to start her long journey of becoming someone .

" R-really , my god, thank you so much . Believe me I am going to do my job at the fullest and make sure that you'll never regret hiring me ! "Emma said standing to leave

Max raised an eyebrow dropping the papers in his hand and spoke

"I'm sure I'll never do . Let me tell you each and every choice I make I'm always 100% sure about it "he said frowning

Emma didn't focus on his words for much . She was drowning in her own thoughts . Max stretched his hand forward for a handshake and the moment their hands touched , max felt that her hands were the most delicate and fragile thing ever that he touched he never wanted to lose the feeling of their warmth .

Emma realizing he must be lost in his thoughts , pulled her hand slowly and ran out of the room leaving a smirking max.

Max wondered what just happened maybe at last sleeping with her wasn't the only thing he wanted . He shook his head vigorously as if to clear his head but he just couldn't .

She was stuck in his mind . Temporarily .

" Let me see how long will you last her , Miss . Kelter "

Emma couldn't wait to tell her mother , the most precious and dear person to her , she never imagined a life without her mother . Her mother played an important role in forming her into the woman she is today and she cannot forget that .

The whole ride in the taxi was quite . She was a little tensed and nervous about her new job , she just couldn't see whether she was going to make it or not . She just had a feeling that was very tiny ...........she's not going to last in Winwood for so long .

However remembering max , her face muscles dropped , the way magazines and media portrayed him made him look careless and never serious in his work but how could someone who worked hard for what he's having could be that bad ?

After reaching home ,she dropped her bag and slid into her pajamas , she tied her hair into a messy bun and jumped to her bed. She hugged the pillow and smiled widely while shutting her eyes .

She imagined herself in a wide office , standing and observing everything from the huge clear glass windows . Everyone dreaming of a chance to catch her and making her their own .

Yet it remained a dream . She didn't know why but she imagined max between those 'everyone' . She wasn't going to lie , Mr. Winwood was charming and attractive , hot and sexy but he is bold and very .............dominating .

In fact she didn't like anyone to hold a grip on her , to limit her freedom but on the other side she liked to dominate people , to give orders and never receive and that's why she wanted to start her own business but money just wasn't enough ad taking loans wasn't on her mind .

Emma's financial status was good enough to do everything she wanted to accomplish but she didn't want to depend on her parents starting onwards after finishing university it was a promised that she worked to keep . It was similar to death convincing her parents to pay her rent but they always had the last word .

She opened her phone and saw a call from her mother , she wanted to call her back but she decided to leave it for tomorrow because she was tired of answering the stupid questions Mr.Winwood kept asking .

The interview was the way she expected and prepared for , he asked pretty smart and trapping questions and well she wasn't surprised because that is the standard of similar companies that's at last what she was trained for .

She descended from her bed and went to prepare some lunch , she had perfect skills in cooking that she inherited from her mother . Later watching tv and that process her day ended . She headed to her bedroom and placed her head on the pillow and forced herself to sleep, it was getting late and she didn't want to be late on her first day of work ................at least not the first .
