Chapter 1: The Email Catastrophe: The rain was pouring heavily against the glass windows of Vance Enterprises, a towering ninety-story skyscraper in the heart of the city. Inside the top-floor executive suite, the atmosphere was colder than the weather outside. Alexander Vance, the ruthless billionaire CEO, stared at his computer screen with deep, stormy grey eyes. His jaw was clenched, and his tailored suit looked sharp, mirroring his unforgiving personality. A massive security breach had just occurred. A highly confidential financial file containing future company mergers had been leaked. "Find them," Alexander’s voice was dangerously low as he spoke to his chief of security. "Find whoever sent this email." "Sir, we traced the destination," the security head replied, sweating under his boss's cold gaze. "The system says the file was routed to an email address inside our automated human resources server. The strange part is... the email address belongs to someone named Alex." Alexander laughed, a cold, humorless sound. "An Alex? Someone is using my own name to steal from me?" Meanwhile, sixty floors below, Alexandra Hill was frantically typing on her old, lagging laptop. She was a young, brilliant graduate who desperately needed a stable job to pay off her family's rising bills. Her friends called her Alex. Before she could log out, the heavy glass doors of the intern department burst open. Four tall security guards in black suits walked in, led by a man who looked like an absolute god of corporate power. "Or should I call you... Alex?" Alexandra gasped, her breath hitching at his sudden physical proximity. He smelled of expensive cologne, cedarwood, and pure power. "I—I didn’t do anything! It was a system error!" "Save it for my office, corporate spy," Alexander whispered sharply, his face inches from hers. "Pack your things. You belong to me now until I figure out exactly who you are working for." As he stood up, Alexandra's eyes flashed with defiance despite her fear. "I am not a spy! And I don't belong to anyone, Mr. Vance!" Alexander paused, surprised by her fire. No one dared to look him in the eye, let alone shout back.
