Tommy Hawthorne and Elle Murphy
Tommy Harrison Hawthorne, the usual popular boy at highschool, MVP of the basketball team. He has his group of friends, girls drooling over him from afar and even those who tries to flirt with him, and teachers who are done with his nonsense. He's always up to something, things that always gets him into trouble. Basically, he's an almost-dropout, if it wasn't for what Elle did, he still wouldn't have been going to Silverstone High.
Tommy's family is well-known in their town, with all the money flashing in a second to their bank accounts, who wouldn't wanna be friends with the richest family in town? Now, you might think his parents are the worst just like the other ones who are rich that loves fancy things and avoids the poorest person they can see, no, his parents would always let him get whatever he wants but with limitations, he and his sister, Cassandra, would always tag their parents along with bond. Tommy's family actually owns an orphanage next to the church they have been trying to revive. Their ancestors were religious, after all.
Elle Blake Murphy, she wasn't popular though, she wasn't also that nerd who always gets bullied and wears glasses. She was just a nobody, atleast that's what she thinks. She always eats alone in the cafeteria, reads a whole lotta books in the library when she has time. People recognizes her, probably because she's the leader of the Glee Club. She's just this normal girl that everybody knows, true, she is one of the cheerleaders but not as they adore the head b***h in charge.
Unlike Tommy who has everything he needs in life, Elle's family is not that wealthy. Her father works at the post office and her mother was a volunteer-librarian. With his parents and two older brothers, they live in a two storey house, not that big but sure is enough to fit a five-membered family.
Tommy and Blake met at the auditions for a theatre play at their town to play for both the main characters, Romeo and Juliet, childish, I know. Tommy hated the idea of going to play a role at every play there is, but for some reason, this punishment he calls probably is one of the best day of his life.
Rehearsing and practicing his lines every 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and performing infront of people isn't what he really adored but the idea of getting to play it with Elle Blake Murphy gave him inspiration. Well, that's because he gets to play Romeo after several beggings to the director and Elle is to play Juliet.
I wasn't always like this. He thought to himself. Even he questions himself why he's doing it, she's never this attracted to a girl that he would beg someone just to be with her.
"Places people! I want everything to be perfect! This is the last rehearsal and tomorrow will be grande!" Their director, Elliot, yelled as he swung his fan into the air and swung it again back 'n forth with class and elegance. Groans from his students were heard and some even rolled their eyes in disgust as they place themselves to start the play. "Would you stop groaning everytime I feel pretty? I swear to god, I will feed you to my hamster." he said and turned around to sit at a table. "Now go! Places! In 3...
2...
1...
Action!"
The start of the play doesn't start with Romeo and Juliet. Lucky for Tommy since he's always late.
Elle sighed at the fact that his play partner is late again, as she watches the other students from the backstage playing their part, she grew impatient. She grabbed her phone from the table behind her, furiously typing where the hell are you, tommy hawthorne?! She then put her phone back at the table loudly but not that loud to ruin the practice play.
"Do you know where Tommy is? This is the last rehearsal and he is still late? What is happening with your boyfriend?!" Elliot asked rolling his eyes—to the back of his head until it was white—before raising an eyebrow.
"I texted him to come immediately..." said Elle. "And he's not my boyfriend." she added, trying hard not to get irritated before she slaps this annoying man in front of her. "Mhmm..." Elliot snapped back, not believing the lie he thinks Elle is saying. He then left and walked back to the front of the stage to guide his students incase they do things wrong again.
Not that long after, Elle's phone beeped indicating a text from someone. Of course, she thought it was Tommy.
mommy: when will you be home? your brothers are here, we're having pizza for dinner, ok?
elle: they're already there?! but 9 p.m., mom, but i'll try and convince elliot so i can go home before 8.
mommy: better hurry, they'll leave soon at 7 a.m. tomorrow, okay? see you later! love you!
elle: too soon. anyways, love you too, mom. bye!
She turned off her phone and watched the play again, in a few more moments, it's hers and Tommy's scene. Scenes that are practiced this night were few so lucky Tommy again, but Elle was pissed, and turned off her phone. That asshole always makes trouble for me! She thought. Well, that's because she's gonna end up pleading Elliot again to forgive Tommy, and this asshole of a director is not easy to convince. How is she going to be home for dinner before 8 if she has 2 cases to convince Elliot of letting it happen?
She was cursing Tommy inside her head repeatedly, this was the first time in eight months that his brothers came home from their school at Italy and she's been begging them for weeks to come home and now Tommy is to ruin it now that her brothers finally had the chance to come home.
It was almost 8 p.m. and Tommy still isn't here, she went to play her part at the stage, saying Tommy's lines in her head before she could speak her's. It was awkward, her play mates were just looking at her, both in embarassment and amazement because Tommy is MIA and she's doing her acting perfectly.
7:56 p.m., the practice play ended and Elle is so over that guy now. I will not save him this time, I'll let Elliot handle him bad. She thought.
"Hey, um, my brothers are home today and I have to be there before 8 so we can have dinner before they leave tomorrow. I was hoping to get home early this night?" Elle pleaded Elliot as she smiles.
"Alright, fine. Since you did good tonight." He sighed in disgust. "And tell your boyfriend to ALWAYS BE ON TIME OR I'LL TELL HIS PARENTS THAT I WILL FAIL HIS PERFORMANCE FOR THIS PLAY!" He yelled making Elle stepped back.
"Ok... uh, bye."
Elle rushed to the parking lot behind the theatre and kept on cursing every swear words to Tommy in her head. She'd probably murdered her by now if she ever caught a glimpse of him.
