Ella - ‘You have go get them out of there and tell them to lay low’

Liam - ‘What why?’

Ella - ‘Liam just trust me! Call them right now and have the gang meet in the clubhouse. Come pick me up, but park down the road!’

I hang up the phone and get ready to sneak out. I put pillows under my duvet just in case that my dad will check on me, not that I think he will because I already hear him snoring on the couch but one can never be to careful. I open my window and sneak out. I start walking down the road so I can wait for Liam there. I wait for about 5 minutes until I see his car. He must have been close by.

We get to the clubhouse and the whole gang is there even their boss whom I have only met once.

Drake - ‘What was so urgent that we had to call Toby and Tony off of their job?’

They all look at me and I go to say ‘So you all know my dad is a cop, but what you don’t know is that he is working for the taskforce that is trying to catch all of you. My dad came home today and told me that they were close to getting the identity of to of the gang members.’

Drake - ‘Tony and Toby’

I nod and proceed to say ‘That’s why I had to have Liam call you guys back here. You are my friends I couldn’t risk you getting caught! You have to lay low all of you’

Liam - ‘Do you know how they got that info?’

Ella - ‘No I don’t know more that what I told you but you guys have to lay low for a while’

The boss goes to say ‘She is right I can’t risk any of you going away. I will handle the meeting tomorrow. I have worked in the shadow for long so they have no idea that I am the boss’

Liam - ‘Well boss I will go with you. You have to have backup there, and our buyer is expecting two people!’

I look at Liam as if he hasn’t heard anything I just said.

Ella -‘Liam the cops are on to your group of the gang! That means you too!’

Boss -‘ Liam you are my best man and I differently can’t risk you going with me! I will take Carlos with me’

Boss -‘Ella I need to know everything that you may have heard your dad talk about! Anything has meaning’

The whole gang is looking at me while I try to remember anything that my dad may have told me. I know I shouldn’t really do this but I can’t risk any of my friends or Liam!

Ella - ‘I really don’t know much. My dad just told me that they got information about Tony and Toby. Usually that means they have an informant that is leaking information but I swear I don’t know more.’

Boss - ‘if we have a rat in our gang we have to find him. Liam I expect you to take care of this and find the rat while I go to the meeting tomorrow. I only trust the people in this room. Our gang is big and I divided it into smaller groups to make sure only one group would be caught! You guys are my best group and I can’t loose any of you!’

The gang stay behind as the boss and Liam goes to the office to discuss more about this rat.

Drake - ‘I didn’t know your dad was working to catch us!’ Everyone else agrees. But I still find something odd. The boss didn’t question any of it, and he didn’t seem surprised neither did Liam. My mind must be playing tricks on me.

LIAMS POV:

After Ella called me in a panic I hurried to do everything she asked of me. Ella shares all of her information that she knows and I look at boss. I hate that I am making her risk everything. Boss seems mad! Having a rat inside our gang is not good! We have so many branches and smaller groups but no one ever meets across. Only us at the top. That kinda limits my suspect list to about 10 people. The boss and I go to talk more about the rat situation while I leave Ella with the others.

Liam - ‘Boss I can’t have her find out about this!’

Boss - ‘you are really falling for that girl ha?

I nod and say ‘I didn’t think this would happen but yeah I am..’

Lexi enters the office and boss tells me that I have to work with Lexi all the while I protect her. She was the first name to be leaked and only 10 people besides our group knows about her. Boss kept her away form the others, but after I met her and started sleeping with her she kinda hung around the group and that’s how we all found out.

ELLAS POV:

I go to ask Liam to drive me home, but before I knock on the door I hear Lexi say ‘Oh fun it will be just like the old times. You and me riding together.’ I don’t know why but I have a bad feeling when she is close to Liam. I don’t want to bother Liam while he is busy looking for the rat and after hearing what Lexi said, so maybe I should ask Drake for a ride home.

Ella - ‘Drake could you give me a ride home. It is getting late and I kinda have school tomorrow and I want to train with you guys after school so I want a good night sleep.?’

Drake - ‘Sure if you don’t want Liam to drive you?’

Ella - ‘I don’t want to bother him you know’ I glare over at Liam who is now standing with Lexi outside talking. I know my mind is probably just playing games with me but I can’t help but be a little jealous!

Drake leads me to his car which is parked out back. The whole ride home we talk about school and everything in between. Drake is so much fun to hang out with I am glad I met him. He is just like the brother I didn’t have!

As we arrive at my house I notice that my dads car is gone. Odd maybe they had something urgent. Drake notice me hesitate to get out of the car.

Drake - ‘Ella are you okay?’

Ella - ‘Not really, I mean my dad left for work and usually Liam stays with me or at least he has since I met him, but I don’t won’t to bother him. He looked like he was busy. I will be okay though’

Drake - ‘I can stay if you don’t mind? I will take the couch?’

Ella - ‘If you are staying and only if you want to of course. Then we have a guest bedroom you can have.’

Drake parks his car down the road from my house just in case. He said he didn’t want my dad seeing his car in case he got home.

As I am showing Drake where the guest bedroom is he gets a call. He signals me that it is Liam and he answers the call ‘Hey bro. No I drove her home all good here. Her dad was out so she gave me the guest bedroom. You don’t have to worry!’ He hung up and I look at him with a questioning look.

Drake - ‘He was just worried about you.’ I nod but why wouldn’t he just call me I think to myself.

Ella - ‘Well good night Drake. See you in the morning.

That next morning Drake drives me to school. As we get there Kate is waiting for us. I can see in her eyes that she is a little jealous haha. Is only she knew nothing would ever happen between Drake and I. So I go to say ‘Kate why don’t you show Drake where class will be today as it is in the new building’. Drake looks at me like I am dumb as he clearly knows where our class is going to be but I wink at him and he nods his head. I hope those two would work out!
