Tests and sleepover?

Today is Thursday and my first test starts tomorrow.. the week after that will be filled with even more tests and damn I am not looking forward to it. After school today I will be studying with Kate and Jonas. Yes Jonas and I talked it out. Well kind of. He still likes me but also told me that he didn’t want to lose me as a friend so he would try to understand that I liked Liam and that he would be in my life regardless. The bell rings for my final lesson. Walking in there I notice Drake sitting in the classroom . I walk up to him and say ‘I didn’t know you had Advanced English?’ He looks at me with a smile and say ‘It was kinda either advanced English or detention so I made a choice which I am now really happy about as I see we are in class together!’. I smile to him an take a seat next to him. Kate walks in. She also has advanced English so I introduce Drake to her. I can see her blush as Drake talks and talks. I think she likes him. Maybe I should play matchmaker.

Ella - ‘So Drake do you want to go study with us for our tests next week. Tonight we will do advanced English and advanced maths?’

Drake - ‘I would love too but I kinda promised Liam to hang with him now that you couldn’t. But maybe we could just invite him too? You know what i will just do it’

I don’t get to interfere. This is going to be interesting. Jonas and Liam together in one room, how bad could it go right?

Drake, Kate and I all walk together to the library and spot Liam standing outside waiting for us. Jonas isn’t here yet as he has football practice which means he is always a little late for our study sessions. We find a spot to site and start at with advanced English as this is what we have with Drake.

Ella - ‘arg why do books always have to have some secret meaning to them I don’t understand it!’

Liam grabs the book from me and soon tells us all about the double meanings of it. Kate and I look at him with wide eyes.

Kate - ‘I didn’t expect that coming from a drop out’

Drake - ‘Ohh he didn’t drop out because he was bad at it. He dropped out because he was too bored as he always got A’s without even trying. Unlike me’

I look at Liam as he just stares at me with a big smile and then we whispers ‘Like I told you there is more to me than what meets the eye’. The four of us have a great time and are all laughing but that soon stops as Jonas enters asking ‘What are they doing here? It was meant to be just the tree of us!’

Kate - ‘Well Drake is in our advanced English class and we decided we could help each other out. And well Liam I am sure is here more for Ella but to be honest he is the one teaching us most of the stuff!’

Jonas glares at both Drake and Liam but sits down without another word. We soon more to advanced maths which apparently Drake us too but doesn’t show up.

Drake - ‘Hell maybe I should start showing up is you are there’ he says this but looks more at Kate than me. Maybe this is working. Then we just have to find someone for Jonas. We finish up and are about to leave Jonas says ‘Ehm is there any possible way that I could get a ride?’ He looks to the floor then to me. I look at Liam pleading him to say yes.

Liam - ‘Sure I do anything that makes Ella happy so sure’

I kiss Liam on the cheek while whispering a quick thank you. We get to his car and I sit in the passengers seat. Liam instantly take my hand and the whole care ride to Jonas house is awkward and silent. As we arrive at Jonas’ house he says a quick thank you to Liam and tells me to text him when I am home. After he leaves Liam looks at me and says ‘So he really is letting go of you even though he hates me?’

Ella - ‘It looks like it yeah. He said that he didn’t won’t to loss me as a friend so I guess’

Liam - ‘Well I still don’t like that you guys are so close but I guess I just have to suck it up’

We get to my house which is all dark. My dad must still be working. Liam looks at me and asks ‘Isn’t you dad home?’ As is he knew.

Ella - ‘He is working late to well catch your gang, so no he tends to to all in and stay at the station. To be honest I hate being home alone’ I look out at the dark house. I hate being home alone and I usually have Jonas stay in the guest bedroom.

Liam - ‘Did Kate usually stay with you?’ I shake my head and look down.

Ella - ‘No actually Jonas did. His dad works the same shifts and kinda takes care of my dad when he gets like this. But after what has happened lately yeah you know. But would you like to come in?’

Liam nods his head and we walk into my house. We go to my room and watch a movie. Or he more or less does as fall asleep laying on his shoulder.

I wake up to the sound of my alarm clock. As I go to shut it off I feel something heavy on me. I look behind me and see Liam smiling at me.

Ella - ‘Good morning’

Liam - ‘I could get used to waking up next to you!’

I get out of bed as I have to get ready for my test today. I just hope I can do good in it.Liam drops me off at School and comes to Pick me up after. The next week continues like this with Liam staying and spending the night with me. Driving me to and from school. It is really nice having someone! Even though we haven’t put a label on what we are, we just act like a couple.

Friday night Liam and I are watching a movie in my room when I hear my dad yell ‘Ella are you home’. Terrified I look at Liam who instantly gets up kisses me and leaves through my window. As if he knew what I wanted him to.

I go out and greet my dad.

Ella - ‘Hi dad I thought you were working late again tonight?’

Dad - ‘Yeah well we got a lead and will be going there tomorrow, so I thought I would get some good night sleep at home and see my sweet little daughter at the same time!’

Ella - ‘Ohh nice. Is it a good lead?’

Dad - ‘Yeah we are soo close to getting two of the gang members. We finally have their names!’

Ella - ‘Ohh cool. Is it known names then?’ I ask away as I want to know who they are close to chatching. I hope it isn’t Liam and his crew. You know there are plenty more in that gang.

Dad - ‘I haven’t heard about them before. Hmm have you heard about gang members Tony and Toby. I think they should be around your age, maybe older?’

Ella - ‘ I haven’t no, but as you know I don’t really listen to gossip at school. I think I will head to bed dad’

Dad - ‘Well then good night sweety!’

I head into my room and instantly call Liam.

Liam - ‘Miss me already?’

Ella - ‘There is no time for that. What are Toby and Toby doing?’

Liam - ‘They are on a job. Why?’
