The party

We arrive at the party. It is packed with a lot of drunken teenagers. Girls dressed in slutty outfits and guys without shirts. Well for my first party ever I must say I am not too surprised knowing the people in my school.

As soon as we enter Kate goes directly towards the kitchen for drinks. I keep looking at her, as I take a seat at a sofa placed close to the wall. My comfort zone. Jonas had to go quick to say hi to all his teammates but not before he told me he would be right back. I look at the dance floor. Soo many bus grinding up agains the girls from our school. I shake my head in disappointment. They should know better. Soon my eyes land on Liam. So he came. We make eye contact and he smiles towards me and signals me to come to him. I get up to go to him. I mean he kinda does scare me if what Jonas told me is true. Before I could say hi to him Tiffany aka the school slut and queen bee cuts me off.

She places her hand seductively on Liam however he does not remove his eyes from mine.

Tiffany - ‘Liam I did not know you would be here. Would you like a round two? If so I am all up for it’

Liam - ‘Tiffany go away right now’

Tiffany - ‘But Liam I know you want me’ she continues to touch him taking his hands and running them over her body. I roll my eyes at the sight. how can one be so slutty.

Liam - ‘Tiffany get it through that little head of yours I do not want you. You were a one night stand nothing more! Now leave me to be alone with cute Ella here’

Tiffany - ‘Her? You want her? But I am much more than her! I have bigger boobs and a bigger butt!’

I don’t know what came over me, but a confidence boost made me say ‘At least what I have is real’. Everyone around us was now laughing at my statement and Liam too.

Liam - ‘Tiffany you heard her! Now leave!’

Tiffany turned around pissed as ever giving me a death glare. Ups I am soo much going to pay for that tomorrow at school. Jeps the party is a Wednesday night and we all have school tomorrow. It’s like this every year. The team captain has a we made it through first day party and most students spend the second day not listening to class or not even showing up.

Liam - ‘Do you want to get out of here?’

Ella - ‘I would love to since parties aren’t really my thing, but I promised Jonas that I wouldn’t leave without telling him and I don’t see him anywhere.’

Liam - ‘well we don’t have to leave the property. Do you want to go somewhere more quiet?’

Jonas warned me not to be around him but something in me made me say yes and follow him into that basement.

Liam - ‘So Jonas is he your boyfriend since you have to listen to what he tells you?’

Ella - ‘No, I mean he did ask me on dates and stuff but we never seem to have the time for it’

Liam - ‘well then you should live a little and make your own decisions.’

We arrive at the basement and my eyes open with shock. It’s like an art gallery down here, with a piano in the middle.

Ella - ‘wow how did you know they had all this down here?’

Liam - ‘I did sell them the paintings you know. That’s how I know Brian or more like his dad’

We walk around looking at the paintings before we stop by the piano. I don’t know how to play, but i always wanted to learn. My mother used to play all the time when I was little. I miss her soo much.

Liam - ‘Do you play?’

I shake my head and say ‘No, but I always wanted to learn. My mom would always play for me when I was little.’

Liam - ‘If you want I can give you a few lessons. I have been playing since I was 5.’

My eyes grew with excitement. Ohh how I would love to know how to play, so that I could feel a little closer to my mom and make her proud. She always told me that she would give me lessons when I was older, but sadly she could not anymore.

As if Liam knew how much I wanted to he gestured for me to sit down and I did. He started playing Just the way you are while singing as well. He was amazing and his voice omg! If he wasn’t hot before he just got even hotter. He looks into my eyes as if he is singing every word to me like he needs me to know them. When he finishes I say ‘wow you really are talented’

Liam - ‘There may be a few unknown things that I can do but hardly share with people. Actually you are the first I have ever song to.’

Ella - ‘Well I am honoured!’

We stare into each other’s eyes and as his hand is about to touch my cheek the basement door is opened. Brian and the football team enters.

Brian - ‘Yo Liam there you are! Wait did we interrupt something?’ He says with a smirk.

Liam - ‘Well yeah you did you little f***’

I blush as I hate to be the centre of attention! Jonas catches my eyes and I see him angry as hell.

Jonas - ‘Police have stopped the party so I am going to take you home Ella. Come on’

I look at Liam and as I am about to say goodbye he looks at Jonas and says ‘she already accepted a ride from me, so you can just stay here with you teammate. You did leave her at the party all alone even thought she hates them right?’

Jonas - ‘I promised her dad to take her home and I didn’t leave her. I just couldn’t find her when I came back from greeting the guys not that it matters! Now come on Ella’

I stand there completely still not knowing what to do. Something in me does not want to leave Liams side but again Jonas did promise my dad to drive me home. Before I can react Liam takes me by my hand and drags me up and out to his car. Jonas running after us saying that he is taking me home.

Liam - ‘Look dude I don’t know you and I don’t trust you with Ella here. After all you do seem to have a crush on her, so I don’t know what you would do to her in that car of yours!’

Jonas - ‘I would do absolutely nothing to her! I have known her a lot longer than you and how am I to trust you with her ha? You are in a gang after all?!’

Without answering Liam opens the passenger door for me and halfway pushes me inside. He then jogs to the drivers seat and speed off. Leaving Jonas with wide eyes. Halfway to my house I get a message from Jonas saying that I have to call him when I get home because he does not trust Liam. As I answer him that I will call him as soon as I am home. Liam pulls up to my house. I thank him for the ride, but before I can get out he pulls in my wrist.

Liam - ‘Look Ella I would really like to go in a date with you tomorrow! So I will pick you up after school if you are free?’

Ella - ‘I would love to. See you then’

I exit the car and wave at him, as he drives off. I know I shouldn’t have accepted the date, but something in me wants to know more about him.

I go to bed thinking about Liam, what I should wear tomorrow and where he might take me. I completely forgot to call Jonas.

As I wake up in the morning I have 5 missed calls from Jonas and 10 messages asking if I am okay. But I also notice a message from Liam

Liam: Good morning sweet cheeks. I hope you slept well. Can’t wait to see you after school!

I smile at that message but I chose not to answer instead I go to call Jonas.

Jonas - ‘Why the f*** did you not call me last night or at least text? I was soo worried about you!

Ella - ‘Sorry I completely forgot when I got inside and I just crashed on my bed’

Jonas - ‘I will come pick you up in 10 minutes be ready!’

I hurry to get ready. I do have to look somewhat cute for my date later and I won’t have times to change. I choose a cute floral summer dress and some cute red heals. I know you must think heals? Well the heal isn’t that high okay don’t worry.

As I walk out I see my dad in the kitchen

Dad - ‘What are you doing today since you are dress that nice? Is it picture day?’

Ella - ‘No I just thought I would dress nice. Is it okay that I will be home like 10 tonight?’

Dad - ‘Did Jonas finally cave and set a date for you guys?’

Ella - ‘Ehm yeah’ I answer. I can’t tell my dad that I am going on a date with Liam. A gang member and someone I barely know.

Dad - ‘you can go hun. I will be working the afternoon/night shift so I won’t be home either’

I thank my dad and kiss him goodbye before I head out of the door and spot Jonas car.
