The date

We arrive at school without picking Kate up as she was to hungover to come today. She really let loose yesterday. Normally she would never miss school for anything, but it is good to see her let go sometimes. It is really her parents that expect her to do well in school. They want her to be a doctor. Any who.

Jonas - ‘So Ella do you want to do something after school today. I mean I am finally free for that date I asked you out on two weeks ago?’ He looks at me with a big smile.

Ella - ‘I am sorry Jonas I can’t today’ I don’t really want to tell him that I am going out with Liam as Jonas just spend the entire ride here telling me how I should stay away from Liam at all costs.

Jonas - ‘Why can’t you. Your dad is working tonight I know that for at fact since my dad has the same shift as him?’ Yep Jonas’ father works with my dad. That’s kinda also how we met a few years back. Aargh I hate lying and Jonas always knows when I am lying..

Ella - ‘My dad is working tonight. You see after Liam dropped me off last night I kinda agreed to go on a date with him’ I say trying to give my best poppy-eyes.

Jonas - ‘You what? Are you crazy? You are cancelling that date okay! I will personally drive you home today and stay at you house!’

Before I could protest Jonas had already walked away. Leaving me alone in the hallway. Great just great. I don’t want to cancel the date, but maybe Jonas is right. Maybe Liam is bad news. I take my phone out and start to text Liam.

Ella: hi. So look I don’t know if I can go on that date later on sry.

Liam: is it your dad or Jonas making you cancel? I won’t take no for an answer. I will be there to pick you up as planned.

Well that didn’t go to plan. What am I supported to do now. I spend the rest of my school day thinking about what I am supposed to do. Should I go on the date. I mean Liam hasn’t shown me anything that tells me I should stay away. I only heard rumours and to be honest I kinda want to get to know Liam.

As the bell rings ending the last class I made up my mind. I will just have to hurry out of school and text Jonas that I went home early. Yep that’s what I am going to do. I rush out of the school gates to see Liam standing by his car.

Liam - ‘Hey slow down. Are you that exited for our date!’ He says with a smirk on his face.

I look behind me and hear Jonas yelling my name. Liam looks to.

Liam - ‘oh so the boy with a crush on you don’t want you to go out with me ey?’

Ella - ‘can we just go please?’

I try to open the door but the car is locked. I look at Liam who is smirking looking at Jonas.

Liam goes to yell ‘Don’t worry I will show her what a great date is since you never had the balls to take her on one’. And with that he unlocks the car and gets inside. I hurry and do the same. I know Jonas will be pissed at me for this.. I look at my phone which keeps going off with texts from Jonas. Things like ‘text me where he is taking you so I can come pick you up’ and ‘you shouldn’t go with him’ but seeing as I don’t answers him he ends up texting me ‘at least just call me when you are home. We need to talk!’ Ohh boy am I in trouble with him now. Good thing he doesn’t speak to my father though.

After some time we arrive at some old building.

Ella - ‘What is this place?’

Liam - ‘Well I am sure you heard rumours about me fighting and well I don’t want to hide anything from you, so I figured I would take you to a fight.’

My eyes widen as I have never been to one. Liam opens my door and takes my hand in his. He guides me inside and to the VIP section. We sit down grabbing some food and non alcoholic drinks. A wall of people are formed in front of us, so I am not able to see any of the fighting. Luckily.

We sit there taking about everything and anything what someone yells really loud and a man is hit in the face. Liam quickly gets up and goes to the man who was hit.

Liam - ‘Are you okay Drake?’ He asked the guy he just helped. Drake nods and says ‘He just won’t give the money he owes for fighting here’ pointing to the man that hit him. Liam looks at the man who hit Drake and goes close to him.

Liam ‘You pay what you owe and do it right now’. That man shakes his head and says ‘I won’t pay as I won. I don’t owe him or you anything’.

Liam takes the man by the collar and states ‘Well then I will just have to beat your ass in the ring won’t I?’ Liam comes to me looking apologetic.

Liam - ‘Sorry Ella this wasn’t what I planed for our date, but I have to fight that man to show him that he can’t mess with our gang. I understand if you want to go home’. I don’t know what is wrong with me but I end up telling Liam to fight for their reputation and that I want to be here when he is done. I just don’t want to watch so as Liam leaves to go fight I sit my ass back down.

The match is done and Liam of course won. The crowd goes wild congratulating Liam on the win. The man pays Drake the money and leaves. As Liam heads my way he is stopped by a girl hugging him for quite a while. They seem offly close I think to my self. I am drawn out of my thoughts by Drake sitting next to me.

Drake - ‘Oh so you are this weeks project are you? I am Drake. I work with Liam in the gang. What’s your name? How did you meet my boy?’

Ella - ‘You sure does ask a lot of questions don’t you? Well I am Ella, and I met Liam at school actually’

I look towards Liam who is still talking to that girl. Drake notices me looking at them and goes to say. ‘Well Ella it is nice to meet you! Dont mind them. They used to sleep together until Liam stopped it. I think she has a crush on him but looking at you, you have nothing to worry about! So You go to Daren high?’

Ella - ‘Yeah I do actually’. I can’t help but to look at Liam and the girl again. So they used to sleep together but what made him stop it?

Liam and the girl soon come over to us and Liam sits next to me taking my hand in his as if he need to show others that I am with him. The girl sends me a death glare like for real. Liam goes to introduce us and says ‘Lexi this is my date Ella, Ella this is our boss’ daughter. I presume you already know Drake over there!’

I say a small hi to Lexi who in return just glares at me. Well someone is not happy that I am here. I still wonder what broke them off. Maybe I should ask Liam about it?

Drake - ‘The gang is meeting at the diner, you wanna come?’ He asked looking at Liam and I. I don’t really want to go, but I do want to get to know Liam a little better and that maybe the perfect way. Liam looks at me with a questioning look and I just nod my head.

Liam - ‘sure dude we will join you, but we won’t be driving together!’

Liam takes my hand and leads me to his car. Every time he touches my hand I feel sparks flying.
