Meeting the gang

As we take off heading towards the diner I feel myself getting more and more nervous. I mean they are a feared gang known for violence and stuff. I shallow a huge lump I didn’t know had formed in my troat. How will they like me? What do I even say? As we arrive and exit the car Liam notices my nervousness and takes my hand as he whispers ‘Don’t worry they will for sure like you, just like I do.’ My cheeks heat up by his comment. He likes me.

We enter the diner and go to the far back corner where Drake and Lexi are seated with 3 new people. Liam goes to introduce me to the ‘Gang this is my date Ella, Ella this is Toby, Tony and Emma’. Hi smile and say hi as they do the same. We take a seat so that I am seated in between Drake and Liam, Lexi is opposite to Liam with Emma and Toby following her. Tony is seated on a barstool.

They begin to talk about everything and anything. Not just gang stuff but school stuff as well. Apparently Tony and Drake are also in school as their parents are forcing them, but the rest are not as Toby and Emma are a few years older then the rest of us.

Drake - ‘Ella I don’t know how you go to school on your own free will. I hate it soo much. I would rather spend my time training and fighting!’

Ella - ‘It’s not that I like school it is just what I am brought up with. Something that you have to do in life. I wish I could fight. Like stand up for my self and stuff!’

Liam - ‘Well you should come with me to practice tomorrow after your school then?’

Emma - ‘Yeah we would love to teach you and having another girl there would be fantastic. I hate being the only one!’

Ella - ‘The only one? Do you not fight Lexi?’

Lexi rolls her eyes at me not answering my question. Drake goes to whisper to me ‘She does not lift a finger unless she has to. Her dad, our boss gives her everything she asks for’. I let out a small chuckle as she sure seems like someone who would not do anything unless it involves her makeup and hair.

We spend most of the night talking with each other getting to know one another. They don’t seem that bad to be honest I think to my self. But before I know what is going on everyone gets up.

Drake - ‘f**k the cops are coming our way! This diner is to hot we need to go!’

Ella - ‘f**k my dad is in dutie he can’t see me here! He thinks I am somewhere else!,

Liam grabs my hand leading me to his car before I could even process what is happening. I am so confused. A cop yell at us to stop before we enter Liams car.

Ella -‘Why would the cops even come to the diner?’

Liam doesn’t answer as he pulls out of the parking spot. The cops are surrounding us. I look at Liam terrified!

Liam - ‘Do you trust me?’

Ella - ‘What?’

Liam - ‘Do you trust me?’

I think about it for a second. Do I trust him. I think I do even though my mind screams at me that I shouldn’t.

Ella - ‘I do’

Liam - ‘Then hold on. I am not letting the cops ruin our date’

Liam floors it and soon we escape the cops. I can’t believe it. Liam gets a message over the walki in his car saying ‘They followed Lexi there as they are trying to get her dad. We got her out thought but we think they have her under surveillance’

Liam - ‘I think I should take you home. I am sorry that the date didn’t quite go as planned but now you know what my life is like. I always have to be ready to go’

Ella - ‘Liam the date wasn’t ruined. I had fun and to be honest it was nice to meet your friends. I feel like I got to know you better actually’

As we pull up in front of my house Liam takes my hand and pulles me closer to him.

Liam - ‘I am glad that you didn’t think the date for ruined but i would like to make it up to you and I still hope that you will come train with me tomorrow’

I nod my head smiling at him as he then comes even closer and I can now feel this breath on my face. He puts his forehead to mine and says ‘good I can’t wait’ and gives me a kiss. It was the most passioned kiss I have ever had. Yes I have been kissed before but it was nothing like this! I exit that car and wave at Liam as he takes of.

I go into my bedroom an lay on the bed. I can’t stop thinking about that kiss but something takes my attention. It is my phone. A text from Jonas appears.

Jonas: I guess I am to late for that date now.

With the text there is a picture of me and Liam kissing in his car. I go to call Jonas

Ella - ‘Jonas why where you outside?’

Joans - ‘I was worried about you. You know I really like you Ella but I see I was too late. Why would you even go out with him after everything I told you about him?’

Ella - ‘Jonas you kept cancelling our date. I can’t just wait around for when you find time. And you know nothing about Liam!’

The call is disconnected. Ohh boy this is not going as it should but he just makes me so mad. He thinks that i should just spend my life waiting for a time when he can be there and then we will be together.. arg I like Liam and he has time for me despite being in a gang!

I walk out into the kitchen as I want some water before I go to bed. As I am drinking my water my dad walks through the door.

Dad - ‘Hi did you have a good date?’

Ella - ‘Jonas and I got into an argument so no not really’

Dad - ‘Sounds like we both had a bad night. We were so close to get members of this really dangerous gang but they got way..’

Ella - ‘Oh I am sorry dad. You will get them eventually you always do’ I say this but really I don’t hope that he catches them or they are free to catch Lexi just not the others!

Ella’s - ‘Well dad I am heading to bed. See you in the morning?’

Dad - ‘Sweet dreams sweetie. I have to go in early tomorrow as we have a new lead, so I probably won’t be much home tomorrow or the next couple of days I am sorry’

Ella - ‘that’s okay dad. I will just text you to keep you updated on my day like we usually do!’

When cases like these show up my dad tends to give them his all. He basically sleeps at the station. He always catches the bad guys that way. He has done this ever since my mom died. She was killed and the killer got away. My dad now feels like he has to protect me and does everything to stop all crime in this city.

I go to bed mad and angry at Jonas for thinking that he can choose for me! Liam is sweet, protective and very hot! And that kiss. Omg that kiss. I smile thinking about Liam. I can’t wait to see him tomorrow!

Before I fall asleep I see a message from Liam on my phone ‘just wanted to say good night and I can’t wait to see you tomorrow princess!’ After that I fall asleep.
