Candy and Jette's Combined Plan Against Gaymo

Jette narrated to Candy all the things that she discovered upon reading the book.

“We need to talk to John,” said Candy.

“Not this time, Mommy. We need to prepare ourselves,” said Jette.

They decided to continue keeping it a secret until they are ready to face John. The reason behind it is that they need to make a concrete plan before sharing it to John.

“Where did you first find the book, Jette?” asked Candy.

“I didn’t tell it to anyone but the first time I saw the book is at an abandoned University during our school tour. I saw it displayed on a cabinet covered with glass. It’s just that the care-taker told us not to touch the glass because it is said that the curse is so alive,” confessed Jette.

“Did you touch the glass?” asked Candy.

“No, I didn’t even look at it,” said Jette.

“The next time I knew, the book is already at home… I mean, at Grandpa and Grandma’s house,” said Jette.

The old house mentioned by Jette is the old house of Mrs. Arden’s parents. Mrs. Arden is considered by Jette as her Mom, hence her parents are called, “Grandpa and Grandma” by Jette. But the mystery here is, why is it that Mrs. Arden’s Dad, Mario’s curse was passed on to Jette and John considering that they are not Mrs. Arden’s real children. That is the mystery that they need to know.

“Grandma, when she was still alive, told me that my name is written on the book because of my white birthmark on my nape,” explained Jette.

“But still, I am puzzled now because when I came there, I knew that Mom is my true mother. I did not investigate any further,” added Jette.

“But now, Mrs. Arden has nothing to do with you… I mean, she’s not your biological mother. I wonder why my kids, John and you, are now suffering from the pain from the past caused by Mrs. Arden’s father,” asked Candy.

There are a lot of questions on their minds. They decided to go back to the old University, to search for cure and answers.

The care-taker, who is now so old, told them, “You know, you better leave this University right away. There is a mystery behind the missing book.”

“I know, I have the book with me. It visited me, and no matter what I do, it always comes back to me,” said Jette.

“Alright, if your purpose is to search for answers, then you better get going. I have prepared a room for both of you here. You can stay there as long as you want. But at 12:00 in the morning, you should not go out of the room. You might get into danger,” warned the care-taker.

11:00 in the evening.

“Mommy, I have found here a passage… Look…” said Jette.

“What passage?” asked Candy.

“It is a passage towards a busy school. I can see from this hole that there is a school,” said Jette.

Inside their room, there is a hole on the wall. It can be easily seen because the room is so dark and there is a sparkling light from the hole. Jette took courage to peep on it. She saw teenage kids in uniform. They are busily studying. There is a class. She looked around and she saw a terror teacher roaming around the room.

“What is this?” asked Jette.

“This might be the secret academy,” added Candy.

“When this University was still active, it is called the “EGP Academy”. It is owned by a famous family in town named Encar Galleon Pernt. He is the husband of Gaymo. They have a child probably of my age now. We need to know where that child is right now. I hope she’s still alive,” explained Candy.

With the recent information Jette knew, she is much more puzzled. What does her grandma mean with the white birthmark on her nape? There are a lot of questions.

Meanwhile, Crystal’s birthday is already near. They have not yet found the answers they’re looking for. They are also afraid; Crystal will tell Albert and Drew about the transformation if ever. They might die…

“I guess we need to meet with the entire family. Probably, through that, we can find the answers to our queries,” suggested Candy.

“I believe so,” added Jette.

They set a family dinner with the family, except Crystal. That is 2 days before Sunday. Everyone has no idea what’s happening. Until John said, “what is this all about?”

Candy started the conversation, “We, Jette and I, have something to confess.”

“What is it?” asked Mr. Arden.

He looks terribly towards Mrs. Arden.

“Wait! I guess I know what it is,” Mrs. Arden said.

Everyone is surprised with what she said. She continues, “The curse has finally come true, right?”

“What curse?” asked Candy as if she doesn’t know anything.

“My dad was cursed before. He used to have some friendly relationship with a fairy, and the said fairy had misinterpreted it as romantic kind of love. My dad was already committed with my mom that time when the fairy entered into the scene. That fairy recited some spell on my dad making him fall in love with her. But my mom wasted no time and found answers to her questions. The curse on my dad was cured. I guess the kingdom of that wicked fairy was likewise destroyed by my mom’s effort,” narrated Mrs. Arden.

Everyone was amazed including John. John was silent all the time.

“Did you know what happened to the fairy after that?” asked Candy.

“What I knew is that the fairy skipped from the burning kingdom. She lived here on Earth for quite some time. I know she was connected with the EGP Academy. They were wealthy long time before,” explained Mrs. Arden.

“Did she know that your dad and your mom have a child?” asked Candy.

“I guess yes. And this is something that you should know,” said Mrs. Arden.

“What???” everybody asked.

“When Mom Fatima was about to give birth to me, they said Gaymo, the wicked fairy, was also there in the hospital, she was also about to give birth to her child,” explained Mrs. Arden.

“My Mom then wondered why all the time she’s in labor, Gaymo was there. Gaymo was watching her suffer labor pains, and laughing. She wondered where the child is. The next thing she knew is she was resting on her bed with me beside her. Gaymo visited her and said, ‘Fatima, it is nice to see you again. It is meant to happen, the birth of our children simultaneously.’ And then, my Mom answered back, ‘Gaymo, it’s been years since our last fight. Can we please put an end to it? For the sake of our children?’ and then Gaymo said, ‘WHAT’S MEANT TO BE WILL FIND ITS WAY BACK TO WHERE IT SHOULD BE,’ and I don’t know what happened next,” explained Mrs. Arden.

“You failed to tell about the child, darling,” said Mr. Arden.

“Oh yes, about the child. Years after that hospital moment, Mom enrolled me at EGP Academy without knowing that it is owned by Gaymo and Galleon, her husband. Then, everything was clear to me then. I got a friend named, Harry. We were too close like siblings. Then, Harry started to feel a terrible headache one day. I had to accompany him to the school clinic. Then, her Mom came. Her Mom was Gaymo. She recognized me at a single glance. She came near me and said, ‘So you’re Marina? The daughter of Fatima and Mario?’ and as a child I said yes. She added, ‘thanks for bringing my son to the clinic.’ She seemed so nice.

The story continues, “Then one day, Gaymo decided to end the family differences. She organized a dinner date with our family. My Dad Mario, My Mom Fatima, and the family of Gaymo… Gallen, Gaymo and Harry. We really had a good dinner that time. Peace happened between the two families. There were no curses,” she said.

“Really? What happened now? Why are so many curses happening now?” asked Jette.

The story of Gaymo continues, “It is because Harry was abducted. They are so wealthy, right? They own the EGP Academy and money is never a problem with them. The kidnappers until now are unknown. Harry was kidn*pped. I knew it because I witnessed it with my own two eyes. That time, Gaymo entered our house uninvited. She’s so feisty.

‘MARIO!!!!! FATIMA!!!! I GUESS OUR FIGHT IS OVER!!! BUT I AM MISTAKEN!!! A PERSON SO CRUEL AS YOU MARIO WILL NOT EVER CHANGE!!!!’ she said.

Of course, my Dad explained, ‘No! I do not have anything to do with it Gaymo. We already made peace, right?’

‘No!!! You will not change. If you will not give Harry back to me, you will reap all the fruits of your labor eternally!!!!!!!’ she said.

Then she came to me, she looked at me from behind. Then said, ‘Marina also has a white birthmark on her nape, Mario. Just like you…’

That’s why I knew it, when Jette was born, unknowingly, she also had a white birthmark on her nape. I believed God gave me Jette to be like my own daughter. Before Mom died, she told me everything. That Jette here visited her once to search for the reason why she is transforming into a furry white dog every end of the quarter,” added Mrs. Arden.

“Yes, Mom. You all know it now. It is because I kept it a secret because I thought the curse extends to those who will know the transformation. But upon reading the book which grandma gave to me, it is said there that only those who will WITNESS THE TRANSFORMATION with their own eyes will die,” explained Jette.

“Yes, darling, you’re right. My Mom told me that it is probably because of the white birthmark which grandpa has, I also have, and now Jette has as well. It may just be a coincidence but for Gaymo, it has a meaning. Gaymo believes that Jette is my own child. She doesn’t know about Candy,” said Mrs. Arden.

“No, she knows me, Marina,” said Candy.

“We already had a confrontation before. We went to the fairyland together with Jette one time to defeat her,” added Candy.

“I mean, she doesn’t know that you’re the biological mother of Jette,” clarified Mrs. Arden.

“Gaymo has a clairvoyant capability. She knows what might happen. The name of Jette was stated in the book as “Bridgette Arden” which means that she knows that I will be married to a man whose family name is Arden, and that our child will be named as Bridgette Arden,” explained Mrs. Arden.

“Not only that, John, darling, you should now tell us the whole story,” said Mrs. Arden.

“Aunt, I cannot. It is so difficult to start everything without feeling so small. My mind cannot bear it. I might lose control and go crazy. I don’t want that to happen,” said John.

“Bro, it’s alright, once you’re ready to share, we are all here for you, alright? We do not pressure you,” explained Jette.

“That’s why all this time, Marina here is so silent because she knows what’s going on around,” explained Mr. Arden.

“What will we do? Crystal is about to reach 18 years of age 2 days from now,” said Jette.

“I already have a plan,” said John.

“What is it??” asked everybody.

“Gaymo needs to see her son and when that time comes, two things might happen. It’s either she will remove the curse by herself or Harry will kill her and she will die forever,” said John.

“But the problem is we do not know where Harry is,” said Candy.

“I know,” said John.

Everybody was amazed. John explained that during the time when he discovered about his power, he would actually use it for revenge. But when Jette taught him how to love and forgive, he started using it to search for answers to all his questions. All his questions have been answered. If there’s anyone that could be asked anything about the mystery their family is facing, it is John.
